How is he a liar? Did you read the article?

Step 1 - kill Roe v Wade.

Step 2 Constitutional Amendment to ban abortion.

Mitt supports both. It’s not going to all happen at once. Assuming Roe v Wade gets killed (long shot) and until a Constitutional Amendment passes (doubtful if that would even happen anyway) then certain states, CA, MA, NY, etc could pass laws allowing abortion.

Banning Roe v Wade would certainly be better than the situation we have today. I don’t think any Presidential candidate is going to be able to affect a total ban of abortion in all states anyway so its a moot point.

I think a lot of people here like to just stick to the title and not keep reading because they have a personal vendetta against Romney or a different top-tier favorite.

I’m not a big Romney fan myself, but “Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney Promises to Legalize Abortion” ? Come on. That’s not only absurd, but bordering on libel. The entire article, and his views in general, support restricting abortion on every level.

Let’s not act like liberals with tunnel vision now.

A constitutional amendment outlawing abortion would not be ratified by the necessary 3/4 of the states. I can think of more than 13 states without even trying that would not ratify it, and if push came to shove I doubt that very many states outside the bible belt would.

The only way that legalized abortion would ever be ended in the US would be IF Roe is overturned and IF a majority of voters in every state were to become convinced that abortion actually means killing an innocent human being and demand that their state legislatures ban it by state law. I know miracles do happen and that nothing is impossible with God, but that would be a miracle on the same scale as Moses dividing the Red Sea.

Never the less, I still pray that it will happen. After all, the Israelites did walk through the sea on dry land.
