Romney is basically saying if a ban on abortion couldn’t be passed, allowing the states to have their own laws regarding the issue the next best thing.
Either way, I’m not voting for him in the primary. This is just my take on his statements.

Exactly. And why not support states’ right? Too few of our so-called Republicans even remember what states’ rights are -— Reagan did, and fought for them.

Romney, recognizing that abortion right NOW is legal in 50 states, is advocating letting states outlaw or restrict abortion if they so choose.
And that is his second choice if he is unable to get a federal restriction or ban.
Some people are so blinded by their hate of Romney they can't even recognize a good thing.
