Just wait until he proposes cutting back on workers benefits/relaxing labor laws then we’ll see how popular he is and how real France’s turn to the right is.
I hope that Sarko can truly keep the “positive things” going for him as well as set an example for the U.S. to, hopefully, follow for the U.S. ‘08 elections. Remember, it wasn’t that long ago after the Republicans successfully took over Congress on January 1995 that things eventually got worse for House Speaker Newt Gingrich and the Republicans in Congress, and all of their mistakes should never be repeated! I truly don’t want the U.S. to ever become a socialistic country at any time in the future, and this might truly happen as soon as in January ‘09 if conservatives fail to point this possibility out to the majority of U.S. voters prior to November 4, 2008!
Still my personnel opinion of french is that they are lower then dirt.
I’m just glad the French voters rejected Sego-socialism. Of course, by virtue of the multiple party system, the majority also rejected Sarkozy in the first round. ;’)
