Iraqi leaders announced an agreement Sunday to release thousands of prisoners and reform a law barring members of the Baath Party from government employment.
The agreement was announced following several days of meetings among Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, President Jalal Talabani, Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi, Vice President Adel Abdul Mahdi and Massoud Barzani, president of the Kurdish region, The Washington Post reported.

We tend to judge Iraq by American standards, forgetting that they have differing loyalties and differing cultural pressures. Time will tell...
What’s important to me is that OUR government stop prosecuting Marines and Soldiers for doing their job and STOP releasing terrorists who INTENTIONALLY tried to kill men, women and children and Amer4ican Soldiers and Marines!

Call me pessimistic, but I do not believe that given the history of Islam; we can try all we want, but in the end it will still fail. I hope that I am wrong. As you say, time will tell.
