Max Robins wasn’t on yesterday due to personal matters
but should be on today.

As we’ve said, Howie’s contract with WRKO/Entercom expires
on Sept. 19 and no word yet on resolving legal issues.
“Neggy” posted the following on radio-info.com’s Boston
board (will there be a period when Howie will be off
air for awhile?):

His contract is up Sept. 19, which is in the middle of the week.

Who knows how many vacation days he has left to burn off, so he could be off the air earlier by his choice by burning those vacation days, or on the other hand Coffee Boy [Prog. Dir. Jason Wolfe] and friends could pull him with no notice preventing him from having a parting shot on their dime. What he could get away with saying without running afoul of a non disparagement clause that I ASSUME is in his contract is subject to debate.

There is still the issue of the non compete clause that although illegal in MA, is part of a still unsettled court action, one of many between Entercom and Howie Carr. Howies lawyers might advise him to not start at Greater Media until the non compete clause has been decided by a Judge or jury. This soap opera has been in play over a month now I wonder what the hold up is?

Greater Media may not want him on the air until the issues have been adjudicated. Right now their hands are clean. There is no doubt they want him, but why become a party to a lawsuit if you can avoid it.—Neggy

According to a Hennepin County, Minn., court docket, Idaho Sen. Larry Craig pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge on Aug. 8, with the court dismissing a charge of gross misdemeanor interference to privacy. He says this was a mistake and his foot slipped under the stall next to him because he has a wide stance...do you believe him?

This woman was painful to listen to the first time. Howie's acting like Drudge: chasing the audience away by overplaying painful sound clips.

On Craig and the rest room. I read a novel by an LA cop years ago. The one part that sticks out is after they were cleaning out the public bathrooms of people that weren't there for the intended purpose of the facilities, a line went something like "...and after dealing with these guys, you have to wash your hands before you go to the bathroom..."

Craig speaking now: he says he is not gay, and he over-reacted by pleading guilty to a lesser charge. he didn’t tell
friends/family of his arrest...blames newspaper for
pursuing him for 8 months prior to the arrest and he alleges
they were trying to prove he was gay...
still running for re-election...stuff going up on his site etc

Craig is dirt, my cousins in Idaho Falls sat out the last election because of his sexual bent. If Idaho plays as Idaho has in the recent Past, a move to the right is in order.

Denial is not a river in Africa....

I feel for his wife and family. Howie's right about Craig having other mental problems.

I suppose Craig thinks he's pulling a Clinton, and "compartmentalizing" it.
