That’s the lamest excuse I have ever heard.

Here's a better one. The NRA is the largest gun control organization in America.

Don't give the bastards a dime.

Castle Doctrine

They help in some States, not so much in others.

CCW laws.

That's mostly State groups. The NRA may 'support' them, but how much money did they give the VCDL? Zip.

Manufacturers Protection Act.

Yawn.....

The end of the Assault Weapons Ban.

After the NRA supported it. Thanks for nothing NRA.

Then there's the NFA: The NRA supported that one.

The 1968 GCA? Charlton Heston himself lobbied for it.

The NRA is worse than useless. They're complicit.

The NRA never met a gun control law it couldn't "compromise" with.

The coward who won’t fight when the fighting is easy certainly won’t fight when it gets difficult.

If by "fight" you mean "throw money," I couldn't disagree more...cowardice has nothing to do with it.

I think your right. I remember seeing his letter online.

The government has been busily and illegally compiling lists of gun owners for years, especially since the NICS was instituted. Also, they illegally compile receipts from CC companies using computers to search for ammo, gun parts, and other shooting accessory purchases. Believe me, they know how many and what caliber guns you have and how much you shoot.

Don’t forget the AWB. It would have never passed if the NRA hadn’t stuck it’s nose in and added a 10 year sunset.

It was also a direct translation of a German Nazi law that helped the Nazis disarm the Jews and other “undesirables”.

I built a .308 on a Sako action many years ago, medium heavy barrel, one of the best guns I have ever owned, hair on a fly’s butt good.

Bears repeating.

It's also been very well received by the dynamite shooters.

I like this COBB MCR300 RFL 3006 BLK 24" W/SCOPE.

It'll fit right in with my BCWA3F16M4 Bushmaster 16" M4 A3 .223 Carbine.

In other news its been reported that Americans have 90 firearms for every 100 people.

That seems like a good start, though, even if we still have to take care of that last 10%.

On the other hand, I don't quite have a good firearm for each year that I've been on this planet. Yet.

If you pay cash for used firearms from private owners, tell me how the government knows about this?

What fight are you referring to? The NRA is like a labor union. They take your dues and you never seem to quite get what you pay for. They always need more money and they never reach their goal. They are big government. I don’t trust big government and therefore I don’t trust the NRA.

BTW, I have been a member in the past and probably will be again someday. But I don’t blame people for not liking the NRA. I don’t like them all that much myself.

I doesn’t seem to me mentioned in the article, but Bushmaster is owned by Cerberus Capital which also owns Remington and Chrysler. I believe their chairman is none other than Dan Quayle.

Do you still buy ammo? Post on pro-gun websites?
