I don’t think so. As another poster pointed out, any Spanish speaking person watching TV in English can understand the commercials too.

This is all about free publicity.

They seem to always have scantily clad cuties in the ads too

Watch any Spanish speaking TV station and count how long it takes to see a bikini babe. They are far more sex-obsessed than English speaking stations. Mucho macho culture.

What you are seeing come across the border are descendants of Mexican Indians. Spaniards are white Europeans.
