China says its military not a threat-(and their food is safe)

OKYO -- Claims that China's military development is a threat are "totally groundless," Beijing's defense chief said in Tokyo on Thursday while assuring his Japanese hosts that China is becoming more open about its defense spending.

Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan's assertions came as the two countries agreed on reciprocal port calls by navy ships, with a Chinese warship to visit Japan as early as November for the first time since World War II, Japanese defense officials said.

I’ve heard tell that when a government announces that “we are not going to devalue our currency”, that is exactly what they do next.

I would take these proclamations in the same vein.

They will smile at Japan and then take them into the Asia Union under their control. If China’s food is that safe, let them eat it. We don’t need it. Why import it?

Such claims would be a little more credible if China's military didn't illegally occupy all of Tibet, portions of India, and menace Taiwan.
