You are a good judge of sheet metal...
As for me, the twins have 379,000 between them...
1986 745i, 1984 733is
The 1984 733 above has 214K on the original drive train...
And I own and have restored both for less than a base model Accord.

Beautiful automobiles. I need to spend a little more time & money on my car to restore that “new car” look like you have. It’s black with palomino (tan) leather interior.

Nice...
I have a hand built ‘88 M5 BMW... talk about extremely fast and reliable.

My car looks just like this... California car...
My problem is finding metric tires to fit the original rims. The beads will tear if I use an American size.
I have different BMW wheels that take a close match on the tire size, but not having anything that is all factory bugs the crap out of me...

I thought my 535is was gonna last forever. The lady who witnessed the accordian-style accident (5 cars involved) said she couldn’t believe I got stopped. The guy behind me didn’t quite get stopped...Lousy Germans and their superior anti-lock brakes...

Wow, those are nice. Makes me want one. I think I’d get a 5 series though. A little smaller and probably easier to find with a stick shift.
BTW, what do you think of the 6 series cars from that era? I’ve always thought they looked sooo cool and have always wanted one. Are they reasonably reliable and is it possible to find parts for them?
