And I look forward to that race. I think the odds of Hillary beating Thompson are about as good as those of the UN suddenly deciding to unconditionally support the US in the War on Terror ;) We’ve seen what happens when the conservative base turns out. We’ve also seen what happens when it doesn’t. It’s the difference between a Republican president and a Democratic president.

It’s going to come down to Romney v. Thompson for the nomination. I have few doubts.

I just pray that Fred Thompson turns out to "be all that he can be" as far as a conservative. There hasn't been much happening recently to inspire any faith in any politician.

Right now, I'm "anyone but Hillary" as are many of us, and that isn't enough to stop her nationally.
