STEP BY STEP HOW TO DO IT.

On the site of a newspaper or TV station or radio station, you will have to search for their contact info. Very often they will have an internal email for news tips. If that is the case, here is an example of how I sent a message yesterday.

1. Media guide - http://www.abyznewslinks.com/unite.htm

2. Clicked on California

3. Clicked on USA TODAY

4. At the bottom of the screen, clicked on CONTACT US - http://www.usatoday.com/marketing/feedback.htm?POE=FOOTER
(sometimes the websites have a HOME or ABOUT US or CONTACT US button)

5. Clicked link for EDITORIAL - http://feedbackforms.usatoday.com/marketing/feedback/feedback-online.aspx?type=12

6. From pull down menu, chose the category NEWS

7. Left name of dougfromupland and email address

8. Left the comment

If you see an AP report from, say Iowa, it would have been written by an AP reporter in Iowa. Call the AP in New York and ask for his phone number - 212.621.1500

I have found it helpful to always make a phone call first and try to get an email from someone in the newsroom. That can save time searching their site for an email, and someone will be looking for your communication.

I have found Superpages.com to be a great asset for finding TV and radio stations or newspapers. On the top line put in Boston Globe...on the second line put in Boston, MA. Click search and it will give you a number or several possible numbers. Either call the main number or try to find a news desk. Anytime you call a newspaper, ask for the person or the newsroom.

If you get someone on the phone who wants to talk to the person doing the documentary film, get their phone number and send me FReepmail.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF AN EMAIL TO SEND (if you simply scroll over this and save it, you can dump it into an email)

email subject line: Hillary under oath soon in Paul v Clinton

Hello, Mr. Journalist. I wanted to give you a heads up on an historic civil suit that will soon be heard in Los Angeles Superior Court that may change everything for the 2008 election. Hillary, Bill, the leadership of the Democratic Party, and many in Hillary’s inner circle are on the potential witness list. This case will be heard in the middle of the presidential campaign.

On Sept. 7, 2007 a 3-judge panel of the California Appellate Court will hold oral arguments and will determine soon thereafter whether Hillary will join her husband as a defendant. If she is not brought back into the case as a defendant, the trial judge made it clear to her counsel, David Kendall, that she will be under oath testifying.

Evidence in the trial is going to reveal the greatest campaign finance fraud ever, four false FEC reports, and Hillary’s role in the solicitation of an illegal $1.6 million hard money, in-kind donation. Unlike any other evidence before, Peter Paul has several hours of home video of Hillary Clinton.
