conservatives won't vote for liberals

There is not one candidate's platform that a voter will agree with 100%. There has to be shades of give and take, with priorities decided upon for the good of all. So be flexible, but not complacent!

The safety of our country is #1. A positive mental outlook is for certain the most important aspect of our survival. Defeatism is a negative term (originating from France politics during WWI) in connotation and often linked to treason and pessimism.

The Howard Deans, the Tom Daschels and the Harry Reids will always come and go, but when push comes to shove, even a Party castoffs like the Joe Liebermans — in Joe's case heavily targeted by the antiwar types — pull a victory.

Why do freepers always feel the need to trash anyone who leaves and forms, or goes to, another site. I go to Wide Awakes and enjoy it. The main problem there is not enough people and it gets a little dull.

Folks here were the same way when Lucianne left. All of a sudden, her name was mud and you couldn’t even mention her.

I go to Luciane for her must reads, but nothing else because there are NO posters.

There is absolutely no call or reason to poor mouth another conservative site, in my opinion.

I've read this entire thread and I haven't noticed ANYBODY trashing other conservatives or any other conservative website.

The meaning of the name Fred is: Diminutive of Alfred: Sage, wise. From the Old English Aelfraed, meaning elf counsel. Also from Ealdfrith or Alfrid, meaning old peace. Handsome.

Grant Smith an onomastician at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, who studies the branch of linguistics dedicated to proper names. Smith specializes in dissecting the monikers (hummmm) of political candidates and says he has a 65 percent success rate of predicting elections, based solely on name analysis. Not entirely convincing, but those odds would play in Vegas.
"The name Fred is basic and homey," says Smith.

"It should give people a reassuring image."

They got their wish of a all Rooty Toot room but I don’t think they are very happy with it.

Soon reality will sink in, Rooty will bomb in the primaries and they will realize they have been dancing around and chanting for a pile of crap.

“I think there are a couple, but not many.”

In fairness to Rudy, every national poll of Republicans I’ve seen shows him leading for the nomination by a comfortable margin. So let’s not act like he’s some struggling candidate- he’s the frontrunner in every poll out there.

I believe that's a fine paraphrase of what I said - "It is a good alternative to taking a pill if you're having trouble sleeping though." :-)

Why do freepers always feel the need to trash anyone who leaves and forms, or goes to, another site.

IMO, they are being criticized for their behavior while they were here, not because they left or went to another site. Many had a long track record of being thugs and bullies, name-calling, and promoting a liberal agenda. In looking back at past California Recall threads, I see many of those names who were there pushing Schwarzenegger as "a conservative." They were trying to do the same thing with Giuliani, posting lies about Reagan to make Giuliani appear more acceptable, and were downright beligerant to anyone who dared disagree with them.

There is absolutely no call or reason to poor mouth another conservative site

True. But from what I've seen, WA is not a conservative site.

They were upset because conservative have “had their foot on the throat” of the GOP for too long.......

Rooty has no concept of right or wrong---Rooty's from the School of Whatever Works For Me.

Rooty and his backers are obsessed with dumping conservatives off the Repub party flotilla. Course their stupid plan is based on the ignorant assumption that conservatives are going to rollover and play dead.

That ain't happening.

was honored by NARAL, donated to Planned Parenthood, and marched

"Sheesh. And my stupid advisors told me I didn't need those dumb,
pro-life Christian conservatives to make a primary showing."

Once Thompson hops into the race he will get lots of press.
Maybe Ole Rudy will not be able to make a bigger splash in the pool. The Debates will reveal who says something stupid. Whoever can survive under pressure without sinking;
only the strong survive!
