I’m very bullish on Senator Thompson and have ignored the myriad of hit pieces the last few months we’ve all been subjected to ad nauseum. He will eclipse the bulky thighed bolshevik from Chicago and provide a focal point for a much needed conservative shift in the Republican party in my opinion.

But is he truly conservative? I'm not trying to cause a flame war - I really want to know some facts about him. I've seen his voting record and it's a mixed bag. I don't believe anyone's campaign rhetoric. So I don't have a lot to go on with him. Any info anyone has so I can make a decision would be helpful...
