We've been had.
In fact, the American people got the shaft last Friday evening. Twice, in fact, and it came from San Francisco's liberal federal courts. There were two decisions favoring illegal aliens, big business, border destruction and sympathetic politicians on both sides of the aisle.

And, it will be. We had every opportunity to break up this activist court, but didn’t do it. The logic eludes me.
For certain folks in this country, it’s all about the $$$.
Our sovereignty and security be damned.

I cant comment because the whole thing is too depressing not to mention I am full of anger.
WTF is wrong with this Government? Why do they want to put more risk onto the backs of average Americans driving down the highway? Why do they want to make it easier to smuggle aliens, drugs or, God forbid, a dirty bomb, into this country? Why do they want to hurt hard working, blue-collar Owner/Operators who barely make a living as it is?
I am sick to my stomach!
The teamsters sued and lost in the 9th Circus Court of Appeals to have this stopped.

Where are the Teamsters? Usually, they drop boulders from over passes when scabs drive.
Hopefully, as I a dream on, the Teamsters are not showing their hand and keeping their plans close to the chest.
If Americans arent willing to fight for their own jobs then they dont deserve to have them. It’s as simple as that. There is NO other country on the face of the earth that would sit on their fat azzes and allow foreigners to come in and take over their whole country. (And make no mistake abut it, that is exactly what is happening)

“The teamsters sued and lost in the 9th Circus Court of Appeals to have this stopped.”
Yes, but this has never stopped them from taking the law into their own hands when shove comes to push.
But, they are. Not only have the Teamsters been fighting this, but so has the Owner/Operator Independent Drivers Association. I went to several trucking message boards to see what the average trucker thinks, and they do not want this. Calls to Washington have been ignored.
I know alot of truckers who have done everything they know to do - but what CAN they do? I even read some stuff from Mexican and Canadian drivers who don’t want this, either....
When they busted illegal Mexican drivers in LA, they recruited their replacements in India.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the Department of Transportation agency charged with managing the program, said Friday that the court's decision is "welcome news for U.S. truck drivers anxious to compete south of the border and U.S. consumers eager to realize the savings of more efficient shipments with one of our largest trading partners."welcome news for U.S. truck drivers anxious to compete south of the borderHowever, the agency said it must still wait for final report by the inspector general and for Mexico to begin giving U.S. trucking companies reciprocal access before the program can begin.
The government also noted that FMCSA expects only two carriers operating a total of seven trucks will initially be authorized to participate. The number is likely to increase to 22 carriers operating 44 trucks within 30 days.

The government contends that further delays in the project will strain the relationship between the U.S. and Mexico.

Todd Spencer, executive vice president of OOIDA,which had intended to join the stay motion, said,They are determined to open our highways to Mexico-domiciled trucking companies regardless of the publics concerns and whats in the law books. Congress responded to concerns about the safety and security implications of this pilot program. It is truly amazing that the Administration is choosing to ignore Congress and the people they were elected to represent.
I have yet to talk with a driver, and I talk with lots of them, who is willing to drive South of the border. Most of them cite personal safety issues.
This is just plain nutz!
Quoting from the article in The Trucker; The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the Department of Transportation agency charged with managing the program, said Friday that the court’s decision is “welcome news for U.S. truck drivers anxious to compete south of the border and U.S. consumers eager to realize the savings of more efficient shipments with one of our largest trading partners.” Yea, shipments of illegals straight to factories for slave labor.
Any member of the Senate or congress that voted for this thing or failed to vote on a block should be thrown out of office. I hate to say it, but I’m starting to support impeachment of the president. We all know that this is just another avenue to get more of these illegals into the country, and to drive american wages down. The sad thing is there are some people, some on this board that just say oh its just capitalism. Well there are a lot of things that are capitalism, but that doesn’t make it right or good for the country.
My brother’s a trucker and told me about this last night.
He doesn’t own his rig, but drives for a company.
Truckers could easily put this entire country to a dead stand still—just drive out on the interstate and stop. Obstruct all the ramps and bridges.
Call it a demonstration, get some press. Should only take a few hours.
Desperate times—desperate measures.
