from where he comes from" in the South, dogfighting isn't that unusual.

Slavery wasn't that unusual, either, you racist fleabitten hag.

I grew up in the South, and I never saw or heard of anyone dogfighting (cockfighting, yes, that's equally stupid).

Well hell whoopster, if that's the standard, how about cross burning?

There was a time when that wasn't too unusual either.

Goldberg said that "from where he comes from" in the South, dogfighting isn't that unusual.

Spousal abuse, murder, drug abuse, child abuse, and rape are all more prevalent than dog fighting (not just in the south, but everywhere). Using Whoopi's logic, those people should be defended too (as long as they're not Republicans).

Her whole job is to stir the **** and get conservatives howling on the airwaves so as to give to The View tons of free publicity. We are best off ignoring her.

What the hell does "unusual" have to do with anything? Robbing banks is more "usual" than winning the lottery, does that make it more legal? or right?

Anythang to he'p out a bro', raght, Miz Goldfarb?

Sanctimonious, loudmouth, overbearing, no-talent hack.

Let it go, Izzy, let it go...

I don’t think this is all that controversial. I mean is it routine in the South??? I don’t know. It could be. I will have to see what she will say tomorrow to see if she is like Rosie. I don’t watch the show, but I will keep an eye on FR to see how wacky she gets.

So, if someone came from an area of the U.S. where child beatings are common, then . . . . . . ? Whoopi would defend them too? What a schmuck!!!!!

There are tens of millions of rational middle-class blacks out there who would be eminantly more qualified than this idiot. Talk about racism, talk about stereotyping, talk about putting the worst foot forward...

My thought is that most blacks think Vic’s actions were as despicable as we do. It’s just chilling to think someone as ignorant as Whoopie Goldberg would be picked to “represent”. Damn, the producers of the View must have one hell of a distorted opinion of Blacks.

Why is it that the only Blacks that can be lofted, seem to think as she does? If it’s a crime Woopie, I don’t care if it’s a white person, a black person, a yellow person, a red person or a person with pink polkadots or green and purple stripes. It was evil what Vic did to those dogs. That’s the end of the discussion.

Nobody is picking on Vic. Vic was picking on the dogs. Most sane people find that abhorant, even if you haven’t the tools to recognize it.

View producers, seriously, guy a friggen clue will ya!

There is NO defending what Michael Vick did. Whoopi might as well defend the high murder rate in a major U.S. city by saying it’s not that unusual.

Lib’rals are so dam stupid!

Which is why he is only going to prison for probably less than one year, instead of 5, 10, or more.

Now maybe dogfighting is not that unusual. It might be argued, that breeding dogs for fitness in all-out aggressive, gut-ripping ferocity may be a commendable objective.

After all, you want the dog that is protecting your hearth and home to be as able as possible to drive off potential intruders in your home.

But then, the dog-fighting culture goes just a little further, and turns this into a gladiator sport, in which the losers of the fight are dispatched, not by a merciful, swift, relatively painless death, but by a cruel prolongation of the creature’s suffering, so accurately described in the collected works of the Marquis de Sade. Not merely death, a recurring theme in so much of what of the Marquis wrote so exquisitely, but suffering with full consciousness, with no surcease BUT death from the excruciating pain. And what did the dog do to earn this?

Not because the dog was guilty of blasphemy, or moral turpitude, or vile crimes too repulsive to recount. Not to convert the creature’s soul, or cause it to renounce a life of sin and depravity.

No, none of these. The dog dies twitching and writhing because some human being thought it would be “entertaining”.

The most vicious, cruel, depraved killer of innocents is no longer given this kind of death, even when the death sentence is imposed and carried out. Why should it be tolerated for one of the lesser creatures of God?

Yeah, well, “common” doesn’t make it right. Maybe in some neighborhoods the ‘N’ word is common. So does that mean it’s OK if they use it on you, whooper? After all, it’s what they are used to, right? We can’t really blame them since that’s how they were raised, right? Not their fault, right?

No, people have to learn what is proper behavior and also what is illegal.

Did someone remind Ms. Goldberg that dogfighting is not only barbaric but illegal as well. Just another reason why I barely watch my TV. It’s all such crap.
