You are our strong tower. We need Your strength every hour of every day. We live in trying times, and we long for the peace that only You can provide. Help us, Father, to keep our eyes on Jesus, so that we may not be swept away by the thundering tides of uncertainty around us.
We ask You to carry our Presidents burden for him. He has been tried and tested beyond measure during the years of his presidency. Thank You for being the source of his strength and wisdom as he works through so many difficult issues and events. We are grateful that he guards and measures his words, knowing that he is being obedient to you and is responding to Your leading. We pray that he would be protected and blessed as he continues his travels. May he represent our nation well and may he always be a bold ambassador for Jesus Christ. He is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which You ordained for him. Thank You for calling him to serve during this time. We trust in You to provide everything he needs so that he may honor You in all his ways.
We pray that those who stand for freedom and liberty in Iraq would gain in strength and would continue to push toward the day when the Iraqis can proclaim those ideals for everyone in their country. Accept our grateful praise for Your daily provision for our military men and women. We pray that they would maintain justice and do what is right in all circumstances. May Your blessing be upon their families who must deal with their absence. Please send messengers of Your Holy Spirit to help them with their needs.
And now, Mighty God, You Who are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, please help the people of this nation to unite once again in common purpose. Help us to honor You, Father, and to return to Your truths. Endow unto our President and our nation's leaders Your wisdom to know how to respond to these difficult times. Send forth Your Spirit to this nation, for we need You, Lord, and we pray always that You would be not far from us. In the Precious Name of Jesus Christ we offer these prayers. Amen.
Please join us in prayer.

READ: Psalm 46
I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints. Psalm 85:8
Gone are the days when a real person greets you on the other end of a phone call. It seems as though whenever we try to reach out and touch someone, we are greeted with a computerized voice.
Im glad this isnt true of our Father in heaven. He is always there. No voice-mail boxes, no press 2 for more grace and no call waiting interruptions. Thankfully, Call to Me, and I will answer you (Jer. 33:3) has not been replaced by, All lines are now busy. Your call is important to Me. Please stay on the line.
Yet I wonder what kind of access He has to us?
Communication with God is a two-way street. He speaks to us through His Word when we come attentively before Him in prayer and through the clear voice of the indwelling Spirit. He paid a great price to keep the lines open so that we can experience the joy of being still long enough to know that He is God (Ps. 46:10). As my grandmothers favorite hymn In the Garden says:
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
Our Holy Father,
We come before You Rejoicing in Grace, So Thankful for Salvation in Jesus Christ. You are Everything to us, O God, and we Offer You our Highest Praise. We Love You, our Eternal and Majestic King!
We Remember our Brother-President in Prayer, Thanking You for his Health and his Strength. Praise You for All the Blessings You have Placed in his Life! Be Pleased to Fill him with Spirit-Peace, and Keep him Safe and Sheltered in Your Love. Glory to You, our Abba, for Your Works through this Good and Kind Man.
Be Praised, Lord God, for our Awesome Military and our USA. We Ask for a Spiritual Renewal to Sweep Over the Entire Earth. May Millions be Translated to the Kingdom of Your Dear Son.
Our Master, we Plead for Your Help to be with Your Korean Lambs. They Suffered Greatly Over these Weeks, and we Ask for their Healing and Peace. Please Help them to Know that Your Church Loves them, O Lord.
We Ask for Blessings for All who Visit these Threads. Be Pleased to Bless the Israel You Dearly Love. Thank You for Hearing us, through the Atonement of our Christ. In Jesus' Name, for the Glory of the King, amen.
Amen to your prayers.
Father, there is a rest for the people of God. In his labors, we ask You for a rest for our President and his family. As Faith has asked you for Your burden-carrying ministry, we believe that Your peace will guard his heart and mind. You have said that You give to Your beloved even in their sleep, so we thank You for watching over that word to perform it. To his soul we say, “Peace, be still and know that He is God.”
Amen.

National Days of Prayer and Remembrance, 2007
A Proclamation By the President of the United States of America
White House News
During this years National Days of Prayer and Remembrance, we honor the thousands of victims who died in the brutal and ruthless attacks in New York City, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Our Nation remembers with gratitude the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and ordinary citizens who acted with courage and compassion to save the lives of others, and we pray for the families whose loved ones were taken from them.
Never forgetting that terrible day, we remain determined to bring our enemies to justice, defy the terrorists ideology of hate, and work to make our world safer. We honor the members of our Armed Forces who died while taking the fight to our adversaries, and we are grateful for those who continue to protect our Nation and our way of life. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication help preserve our freedom. We pray for their safety, for all those who love them, and for the peace we all seek.
We remain a hopeful America, inspired by the kindness and compassion of our citizens and our commitment to freedom and opportunity. During these days of prayer and remembrance, we reflect on all we have lost and take comfort in each other and in the grace and mercy of our Creator. May God guide us, give us strength and wisdom, and may He continue to bless our great country.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Friday, September 7, through Sunday, September 9, 2007, as National Days of Prayer and Remembrance. I also invite the people of the world to share in these Days of Prayer and Remembrance.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand seven, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-second.
