He has gathered a few critics for playing the game differently, but I think he still stands out unique. He’ll be on Leno tonight and announce on his website. Here is the video of his first ad which will air during the Republican debate he is missing for Leno. Watch Video Here.

This is just a teaser to get the people watching the “debate” over to his site. I think him answering questions via his blog is quite unique and might really help him connect with voters. People may be “misunderestimating” Fred.

Brief, I would have liked a more compelling ad myself. It looks to be a "teaser"... trying to draw attention to the "official announcement" webcast tomorrow.

I’m sure I’ll be flamed for saying this (sigh! I’m not looking for conflict, really) but I have to say that Thompson’s missing the debate AND airing an ad during the debate just seems like rude and ugly behavior. I don’t like it.
