If they are on the advance team they will engage you sometimes. If they are actively watching the pres NO chance to talk.
If you are taking their pix that is the best way to have a conversation as they come towards you with a look like they will be tackling you in a few seconds!
I was always there VERY early as were the advance teams. They were very professional & no easy chit chat. They answered questions or referred you to someone else,
