I suddenly feel the urge to read a Tom Clancy novel.

Just the threat of falling, mild steel large aircraft parts or a cast iron turbo prop from 30,000 feet is enough to warrant an intercept. Not to mention giving a good location fix for air crew rescue.

Putin has contracted 'nut-job' disease.
Here is the moment he got it:

Putin has lost his mind. He might start WW3 or is it WW4 by now?

Russia detects a huge breach between the US and Europe/Britain. Expect a lot more of this, and expect Americans not to care one way or the other.

More details:
The Bear Tu95 planes were detected by Nato early this morning.
British fighters were scrambled from RAF Leeming in Yorkshire and the Russian planes diverted and headed back to their base without incident.
Sky’s Defence Correspondent Geoff Meade said: “Diplomatic relations between Moscow and London haven’t been great for some time and I think this maybe a bit of sabre-rattling on behalf of the Russians.
“This is the biggest formation of Russian aircraft to be challenged in this way since the Cold War and marks a stepping up of Moscow’s challenge to British defences.”

Don’t read it out loud unless it has a real happy ending and the bad guys bite the dust.

They would be wrong if they thought that was the case. If anything the past few months have seen relations become closer.

I think this maybe a bit of sabre-rattling on behalf of the Russians Sabre-rattling to what end? Just to be annoying or is something going on?

I don’t like Putin, and I don’t need to look into his eyes to know that. Thumbs up to the RAF.

“Russia detects a huge breach between the US and Europe/Britain. Expect a lot more of this, and expect Americans not to care one way or the other.”
Well, if Putin detects a rift between the U.S. and the EU, this is the last thing he should do, as he is going to drive the EU right back into our arms. The EU isn’t going to like Putin’s air threats, as well as his oil threats, one bit. If anything, Western Europe will, as they always do when the chips are down, seek us out as their new best buddy. Wait and see.

It must be quite a sight just seeing one of them manage to stay up in the air!!
