TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A law enforcement official says 11 public officials from across New Jersey, including a mayor and two state lawmakers, have been arrested in a federal corruption investigation.

The official says the arrests are related to insurance contracts for local governments.

The official says two Democratic state lawmakers, the mayor of Passaic (puh-SAY'-ihk) and the chief of staff to Newark's City Council president are among those arrested.

Dangerous stuff, arresting Dems.

This will cause the resignation of at least one Republican Congressman.

All the big poltical fish are democrats. As far as the school official arrested, that is to be seen, but I am willing to bet most if not all will be democrats too.

I thought corruption was a prerequisite for public office in New Jersey.

You know that’s why the Sopranos was ended. They couldn’t compete with real-life NJ politicians.

They’ll all refuse to resign, run in the next election and be re-elected by landslide margins.

I flew into Minn. St Paul a few years ago on a full plane and kept wonder who are all these people going there. Turns out it was fed that went in and arrested the mayor and city council for corruption.

Nothing ever happened with that either.

The people of New Jersey have the government that they want and, therefore, deserve.

This could be just what the GOP needs to get a boost in NJ.

“Schools” and “Dems” go together, naturally, as you can see by the NEA.

This could be just what the GOP needs to get a boost in NJ.

After Torricelli, McGreevey, et al, you can't be series. None of that corruption and malfeasance made any impression on the NJ political scene - it is still completely controlled by the dhimmicrats, and utterly corrupt to the core.

Dysfunctionality and corruption are celebrated in the Demrat Party. I don’t think the GOP is as corrupt on the national level. However, NJ is an equal opportunity state for corrupt Dem and Pubbie politicians. It’s one reason I’m moving just as quick as I can to a RED state.

Looks like the corruption focus on the worst 2 or 3 counties right now. Investigations have netted hundreds so far. Multiply that by number of counties and your talking thousands of corpulant piggies suckling at the public trough.
