SAN FRANCISCO - Disgraced Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu was arrested in Colorado late Thursday after he failed to show up for a court appearance related to a felony theft conviction.

Really? I lost a five that said he was in China already. Since I don’t fly is that a hub of choice for international flights as opposed to one from L.A?
I figured when this came out he was another ‘businessman’ from China buying off Dem politicians. I would have thought he had already disappeared behind the bamboo curtain.
Maybe he is just a regular corrupt guy instead of a foreign agent/corrupt guy. Wouldn’t that be nice to think the Dems have moved up from treason to just home grown felonies?

If he was traveling in coach, you are right. But if he was traveling in a sleeper, he got a local newspaper every morning.

He still has his passport? When will a court finally conclude that Hsu is a flight risk and confiscate his passport, refuse him bail and clap him in jail? Our judges are actually this stupid?

I believe this judge was appointed by Clinton. It was probably hoped that Hsu would make it out of the country.

You're right about train travel. Most people don't know that we still have passenger trains. Much less where they run. Or where you go to board one. Sad.

Jimmy Hoffa could have been riding the trains since he disappeared. That's why no one has found him. LOL.

I’ve traveled from Denver to Chicago via Amtrak numerous times. I’ve noticed that the folks in sleepers seldom venture into the coach section. Additionally, the folks in coach are not allowed in the sleeper area. They are divided by the food service car. I once utilized the coach section and actually slept undisturbed from Denver to Galesburg IL. I’ll bet not one person saw my face once on the train.

I've done a lot of long distance traveling on Amtrak. I've gone by sleeper on the Coast Starlight, Empire Builder, Cardinal, Lake Shore Limited, Capitol Limited -- and even the old Three Rivers.

When you have a great compartment from which to watch the world go by and free meals in the dining car, why go into the coach section? On the Coast Starlight, you have the Pacific Parlor Car, an old 1955 Sante Fe bar car, which has plush seating, good booze and great views.

If I were Hsu, I'd get a Deluxe sleeper and stay inside except to eat.

He could have boarded Amtrak at 1 of 16 stops from California to Grand Junction, CO. Many, if not most of the stops have unmanned stations and absolutely no security.

I've had food delivered to my sleeper in the past. I'll admit though, I haven't traveled via Amtrak for almost a year now. Cabin service could have easily been eliminated.

In all honesty that was my first thought when seeing the story headline.

I think he was afraid that like so many others he would end up committing sewercide by shooting himself in the back of the right side of the head with his left hand.

These Clintons remind me of that husband and wife team up in Canada that killed her sister after being raped by her husband and then killing other young gals after the husband raped them.

I saw that on the Discovery channel and immediately thought of the Clintons.
