Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

The premise of my posts is that Governors mostly win Presidential elections, not that Governors always turn out to be great Presidents. Obviously if Bill Richardson gets elected President, he's not going to be a good one.

There are very few Presidents who turn out to be solid conservatives. The two who have governed as solid conservatives during the last 100 years are Reagan and Coolidge, both former Governors.

Though I think if you look at the backgrounds of the "greatest" Presidents, you'll find they come from all kinds of backgrounds and walks of life.

We all thought he took the anti war position because he wanted to keep his cushy job and get re-elected. That wasn’t the case. Now I don’t know what to think

His judgment was distorted by intruding his personal issues into the public forum. Listening to LBJ tapes made his VietNam syndrome kick up. He was most likely sincere. But being sincere is no virtue when you're wrong.

I’ve never been to Vietnam as a tourist. I was 3 years old when the war ended....

And I still get flashbacks. INCOMING! I break out in cold sweats when I hear those words.

Americans don’t like to lose. That’s why the first Iraq War was so satisfying back in 90. It wiped the bad taste of military defeat out of our mouths. Made us proud again.

We will not lose this war. We’ve killed or captured 100,000+ islamofascists. Yes, we’ve lost 3,000 brave men.

Not nearly as many as the 58,000 who died in Vietnam. More than 3k died in the first five minutes of the Normandy invasion.

One life is precious. But let’s not lose sight of the sacrifice necesary to give Chuck Hagel and liberals the freedom to make asses of themselves. Freedom is not free. The sheeple in this country bend over and let their freedoms be taken away without fighting.
