Fugitive Democratic fundraiser under guard in Grand Junction (Hillary thwarted . . . for now)
Rocky Mountain News ^ | 9/8/07 | Alan Gathright

Norman Hsu, the fugitive Democratic fundraiser who jumped a $2 million bail and skipped a California hearing on a felony theft conviction, was under armed guard at a Grand Junction hospital Friday. Hsu had been scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate on unlawful flight charges, but FBI spokesman Joseph Schadler said at a news conference in San Francisco that Hsu was not released from the hospital. Hsu was listed in fair condition at the hospital Friday evening.

Once Hsu appears before a magistrate, he would be transferred to federal district court in California, then released to San Mateo County officials to face the felony grand theft charge to which he pleaded no contest in 1992.

It was unclear whether Hsu would fight extradition, Schadler said.

The high-flying political money man was accused of swindling investors out of $1 million in "a Ponzi-type scheme to buy and resell latex gloves that did not exist," according to a statement issued by the California Attorney General's Office.

Flap over contributions

Hsu's mounting legal troubles pose embarrassment for Democratic recipients of his campaign contributions, including presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and Colorado U.S. Rep. Mark Udall, who is running for the Senate.

The growing flap over Hsu's contributions prompted Democratic presidential candidate Chris Dodd to release a statement Thursday vowing "to refuse to accept or possess campaign contributions raised, solicited, or delivered by fugitives from justice."

Seems to me they located him awfully fast. I wonder who was tailing him.

Who does this writer think they're kidding? Nothing could embarrass a Democrat. They have no honor, no morals, and no sense of shame.

I won’t be shocked if Hsu expires before appearing in court.

Sorry about the mental pic I’m about to bestow upon you... but...
Dodd is a slice of bread. Waitress is the meat. Some other schmuck is the other slice of bread. Clothes are optional...

“Seems to me they located him awfully fast. I wonder who was tailing him.”

The FBI simply followed the Klintonista’s “Problem Solvers” (if u know what I mean) to HSU. Fortunately for HSU, the FBI grabbed him before the Klintonista’s
“Problem Solver” team did.

Go to Howie Carr's website... WRKO Boston. He probably has the official background on it. The 'sandwich' was comprised of Dodd and Teddy K. as 'the bread'... and a barmaid as the 'meat'.

The meal was supposedly 'consumed' in a closet adjacent to a barroom

Some other schmuck is the other slice of bread.

That schmuck was the Swimmer himself.

Suspect he’ll meet with an untimely death before all on the hildebeast and the rest of the RATS are revealed. Remember the fate of Buddy the Dog at the unseen hands of the hildebeast.

From HotAir archives:

Dodd Waves Off ‘Waitress Sandwich’ Query

Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., nearly got busted Tuesday morning when talk radio host Don Imus queried him about the notorious 1985 “waitress sandwich” incident, in which he and Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., allegedly sexually assaulted a waitress at Washington’s trendy La Brasserie restaurant.

Dodd, who has never commented on the story, was discussing the newfound friendship between President Bush and Kennedy when Imus veered off into uncharted waters. The victim herself detailed the attack for Penthouse magazine in 1989, which was summarized by the Washington Times:

“When she put in an appearance in their private retreat - ‘The Teddy Kennedy Fun Room’ - the Massachusetts senator picked her up and heaved her onto a table. The crystal candlesticks and champagne glasses shattered as he grabbed her again and flung her on top of Dodd.

“Then Kennedy threw himself on top of the woman. The waitress implored Mr. Kennedy to ‘Get off me!’

“Another waitress entered to find ‘things all tipped over and Kennedy was on top, [the waitress] was in the middle and Dodd was on the bottom.’ At that point the sandwich was disassembled.”

No wonder Sen. Dodd doesn’t want to “go there.”
