Faraj al-Shibli did not lack for enemies, it would appear. The Libyan government held him for a time after the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, at least long enough for the FBI to interrogate him. Two days ago, another militia grabbed him in the former Cyrenaica capital of Marj, a town just off the Mediterranean, 96 kilometers from Benghazi. Yesterday, locals found his body: Faraj al-Shibli, who was suspected of involvement in the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, has been found dead, a Libyan source and locals in the town of Marj said....

Edward Klein’s book about the animosity between the Clintons and Obamas, “Blood Feud” (Regnery Publishing), rocketed up the best-seller charts since it was featured in The Post last Sunday. Here, in another exclusive excerpt, Klein describes how Bill’s health is a preoccupation of the Clintons. A pair of black, armor-plated SUVs swung into a suburban cul-de-sac and crunched to a stop in the driveway of the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York. A wall of burly Secret Service agents jumped out and surrounded the man who emerged from the lead vehicle. It was mid-summer 2013, and Bill Clinton looked shrunken...

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Ridgeland police chief Jimmy Houston confirms that Attorney Mark Mayfield has been found dead at his home in the Bridgewater subdivision. We're told he suffered a gunshot wound. It is being investigated as a suicide. In May, Mayfield was arrested and charged with conspiracy in relation to a political scandal. The 28-year-old blogger, Clayton Kelly, allegedly went into a nursing home and photographed the bedridden wife of Republican U.S. Senator Thad Cochran without permission and posted an image online as part of an anti-Cochran video. It's not clear the exact role that Mayfield played...

We all have read about Hillary's legal defense of the accused child rapist and her callous interview about the case. As I saw yet another article about it today, I realized that year in which the rapist died, 1992, was the year in which Bill Clinton was running for his first term as President and conservatives' attention was drawn to the number and nature of deaths of those people who could have said things to compromise his campaign. Does anyone know how this rapist died in 1992? Was there anything mysterious or untoward about his death?

But the deaths are the stuff of rumors — until now. 10 September 1998 I became the virtual man I have become (ie jobim). That was an eventful year - Paula Jones, Monica, Ken Starr report, impeachment - but more importantly, it was the crescendo of scandals that revealed the flaw that even the towering genius of the Founding Fathers could not circumvent in crafting our blessed Constitution. That flaw was, and oh so woefully is, bad men with their hands on the reins. George Will said that Clinton was not necessarily the worst president, but the worst man ever to be president. For the stalwarts of the mainstream news media, Friday was both a day of celebration and a day of disappointment. Celebration that a key White House official, Lewis "Scooter" Libby faces serious charges as a result of a grand jury indictment and disappointment that their main target, Karl Rove, is not facing Libby's fate. During the congenial press conference by the prosecutor in the Valerie Plame-CIA Leak Case, Patrick Fitzgerald, one sensed the only thing missing was the sound of corks popping from French champagne bottles. And the prosecutor knew how to play this crowd of the media's true elite:...

Bill Clinton’s enemies list? By: Kenneth P. Vogel May 30, 2008 07:26 PM EST Listen to audio of Bill Clinton's conference call below. With Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign on the verge of defeat, Bill Clinton has been placing blame on enemies including a brazenly biased media that tried to suppress blue-collar votes, a deep-pocketed anti-war group that endorsed rival Barack Obama and weak-willed party leaders unable to stand up to either of these nefarious forces. Pieced together from the former president’s public remarks at his wife’s campaign events and a private conversation last week with top donors to her campaign,...

Pieced together from the former president’s public remarks at his wife’s campaign events and a private conversation last week with top donors to her campaign, the theory goes something like this: After Hillary recovered from a string of losses to rival Barack Obama with March 4 wins in...

Senator Dianne Feinstein says that if Barack Obama becomes the Democratic nominee, he should select Hillary Rodham Clinton as his running mate. Feinstein, a longtime friend and supporter of Clinton's, says Clinton and Obama have "garnered a different constituency and different states." The California senator says that combining them would form the strongest ticket. It isn't clear if Clinton would accept the vice-presidency, but Feinstein says she thinks that anyone accepts if they're asked. The Obama campaign has dismissed reports that there are talks going on between the two campaigns about putting Clinton on the ticket.

WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton apologized Friday after she mentioned the assassination of Sen. Robert Kennedy while defending her decision to remain in the race against Sen. Barack Obama. In a taped meeting with the editorial board of the Argus-Leader newspaper in Sioux Falls, S.D., Clinton said: "My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California." Clinton's comment brought a swift rebuke from the Obama campaign. Obama, who's likely to be the first...

Sioux Falls, S.D. (AP) -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton quickly apologized Friday after citing the 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy as a reason to remain in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination despite increasingly long odds. "I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and in particular the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever," the former first lady said. The episode occurred as Clinton campaigned in advance of the June 3 South Dakota primary. Responding to a question from the Sioux Falls Argus...
