Zell Miller remained loyal to the D party when Jumpin' Jim Jeffords gave the Senate to the Dems.

Not true. Zell has always been a demo and said he will always be one. However, the Democrat party has not always been so traitorously eager to surrender to our enemies as it is now, and this the main reason Zell is fed up with the modern Dem party but doesn't think that the party should be surrendered to the surrender monkeys.
Ol Zell is a good guy and most definitely has the courage of his convictions. Very unfair for you to charge him otherwise given how in recent years he has ripped democrates several new ones over the war on terror.
