"After the speech, local farmer Les Nelson cuts through the crowd. He has a crewcut, wears worn jeans, holds out his thick hands, and says: “Kill the terrorists, secure the border, and give me back my freedom.”
Thompson looks to him, and says, deadeye, “you just summed up my whole speech.”

The problem, the Major Problem, is that no one can or will ‘give’ you freedom. It was taken from England and we are allowing our leaders to take it from us. DC is a pwer hungry octopus slowly strangling us.
Having said that, I do hope that Fred will turn out to be a voice for the return of sanity to this country.

Fred is real. He is down to earth and he is saying what he really believes knowing there is a chance his message will be rejected. But he is at peace with it because he knows it is what he believes and he is willing to trust the decision of the American people. It is liberating to feel free to be honest with yourself and others. Go Fred Go!

It just occured to me that the nation is ours to lose.
All I (we) need is the freedom to voice our discontent without fear of reprisal and every socialist becomes persona non grata.
With the latest exposure of the top tier candidates' (and many others) affiliation to chicom money and influence via Norman Hsu, and Fred pretty much saying to us, "You go, boy" ... I feel pretty good with so much time yet to deliver the American message of God, apple pie and Chevrolet ...

I agree, this person and statement was probably a plant because Fred had previously made the below statement, to a private group, that I have on my FR Profile page in the Fred Thompson section. Either way it's dead on solid.
