The samples of 425 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents and 500 Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents have margins of error of +/- 5 percentage points.

Well-nigh useless in my book.

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney has slipped 4 points from August, to 10%.
Hoo, boy. Expect the Romneyites to kick up the ugly-level. Then there are the candidates who aren't even mentioned....

Boy they make it hard as they put the results all over the place. But it looks like Rudy 34....Fred 22.....McCain 15....Romney 10.

Not good for Romney and it looks like McCain is still down but not out.

Not saying it doesn’t represent a snap shot of where things stand, but itsn’t funny that when a poll supports conservatives positions or candidates, no matter the source, it’s suddenly valid, but if it doesn’t then suddenly it’s flawed?

If he’d declared earlier, he’d have climbed earlier.

Thompson is significantly less well known than Giuliani or McCain — 28% of Republicans say they've never heard of Thompson, compared with 8% for Giuliani and 9% for McCain.

IF THEY SAY THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF FRED, THEN THEY ARE NOT REPUBLICANS. THEY ARE RINOS, OR WORSE, DIMOCRATS. PURE, 100%, UNADULTRATED B.S.

"Thompson is significantly less well known than Giuliani or McCain — 28% of Republicans say they've never heard of Thompson, compared with 8% for Giuliani and 9% for McCain.

Among those Republicans who know all four leading contenders, Giuliani and Thompson are essentially tied. In a head-to-head race among all GOP voters, Giuliani bests Thompson by 13 points, 53%-40%."

Impressive numbers for the candidate who just got in the race 3 DAYS AGO!!!

I think it’s time for all the candidates with less than 15% to step down, and yes I know, that includes my man Hunter.
