“Now unfortunately he will be portayed just as another southern good ole boy...which he is not. I stand by my comment he looked dumb and that is how the msm will play it like it or not.
But...I’m just an ole southern boy and NOT as smart as you traderrob6”

Well, unfortunately, the reason traderrob6 is right and you are wrong is that Fred Thompson was right and you therefore are wrong. Fred had his facts right, and it’s just unfortunate that you didn’t know the facts. I believe the MSM did know the facts, but as usual, chose to ignore them so that they could attempt to portray Fred as a rube. They will try to do this about everything. That should never stop Fred from telling the truth which has a tendency to get out anyway. It already has. There are all sorts of articles springing up showing why Fred’s remarks were 100 percent accurate and that the media is showing its bias once again. It would be incumbent to find out the facts, because you obviously weren’t as smart as traderrob6 or Fred Thompson in doing so. Fred isn’t the southern rube, but if you don’t read up before mouthing off, you might be.

used outlets like YouTube to communicate with voters

So does Clinton!

I personally don't like him using youtube, it just gives all the moonbats out there an opportunity to slander him and the whole world to read it and think that their foolishness some how reflects on the rest of the country. IMO, he should not allow comments on that site if he wants to use it to share a video, thats one thing. Anyway, I'm not running the campaign, it's just my opinion.

So, do you have any proof of your little conspiracy or did it just come to you?

The smoking thing was that they were amputating fingers to enforce it. Executions too. A lot of Iraquis switched sides. It had been written about before but people weren’t paying attention to the stories. Fred is right about this.

He had high level security clearance and was advising Condi Rice up until the time he resigned for this....
He should and does know what he is talking about.

I didn’t know about this until today, and you obviously didn’t either. It is a good start when you can make reporters look ignorant.

I normally don't respond, with those that I believe simply want to argue. I don't find anything wrong with Mr. Thompson's statement that the smoking ban and punishment for smoking helped push Sunnis in Anbar away from Al Qaeda.

Here is a link to a number of sources that verified the same fact.

This site, which is Blogs For Fred Thomson, links to various other reports on the subject.

Believe what you will. That is the right of us all.

I support Fred Dalton Thompson for a great number of reasons and this statement of his, in no way diminishes that support.

Have a great day!

“No thank you to Fred, as popular and appealing as he is. I will stick with Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo.”

Enjoy the basement while it lasts.

To each his own.

I will stick with Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo.

You will continue to back losers, then.

I never fail to be surprised at the ones who keep pushing the "Thompson isn't a conservative" myth that has been debunked dozens of times already.

Thaomsons conservatism is not strong enough to withstand being assailed by his fellow RINOs. He is a movie star who should simply sink back into the golden retirement years he had made for himself. He is no saviour.

But everyone is looking for a saviour. Politics is not religion. Losers are men who do not have what it takes. Both Hunter and Tancredo do have what it takes. The only obstacle they have is people like you who suck on the hind tot of candidate popularity rather than skill and function. Popularity can be geberated in about 2 weeks with a splash of media money, the skill and strngth of men like Duncan Hunter cannot.

Fred is a flash in the pan , who has a knack for making people feel good. He reminds me in some ways of Bill Clinton.

No I'll not vote for Fred. He doesn't have the military service necessary for our next president.
