Since Osama bin Laden made his first appearance in almost three years on Friday, the government and the news media have exhaustively scrutinized his video for clues as to the Saudi terrorist's whereabouts and well-being. ...his message has been dismissed as meaningless psychological warfare and propaganda, put forward in a claim for relevance on the sixth anniversary of September 11.
But what bin Laden actually says in his "message from Sheikh Osama bin Laden to the American people" has the potential to be quite revealing.
Gone is any mention of Israel, of the Christian and Jewish crusaders, or of the occupation of the land of the Holy mosques (Saudi Arabia). In fact, he takes a rather generous position towards the Jews, suggesting that they are welcome in the Arab world and noting, in particular, Morocco's large Jewish population.
Bin Laden saves his vitriol for corporate interests.
He claims that the "major corporations" are behind a long history of American killing, of the "Red Indians," in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in Iraq and Afghanistan.
It's also those corporations, he says, that have prevented the Democrat majority in Congress from changing the course of the war in Iraq.
He talks of Americans "reeling ... under the burden of interest-related debts, insane taxes and real estate mortgages; global warming and its woes; and the abject poverty and tragic hunger in Africa: all of this is but one side of the grim face of this global system."
And I love this one: "life of all of mankind is in danger because of the global warming resulting to a large degree from the emissions of the factories of the major corporations.
Bin Laden says that America should "liberate" itself "from the deception, shackles and attrition of the capitalist system." Oh, and also "embrace Islam."

Well, this has been suspected for a while by some... that Bin laden is funded by China and Russian “Soviet era” spies which had infiltrated some of the Afghan tribes before leaving Afghanistan... hence the lie about America funding the muhadjedin single handedly. Bin Laden is a stooge of Saudis and Soviet penetrated hadj gangs.
Of course, the Democrates’ not so suddle covering for him against Bush has also done its work.

Welcome to the American mainstream Osama. If you sneak into the country, we will naturalize you one of these days, and you can run for office as a Democrat (or in California as a Republican).
Limbaugh, Hannity, Boortz, etc., ought to jump on this and talk it up big time. Make the tie in of the communists, the democrats, and OBL - three peas in a pod. Same agenda

It’s been observed for some time that bin Laden and AQ couch their messages in language geared to resonate with American and European liberals. I’m almost surprised that bin Laden didn’t mention Alberto Gonzales and the U.S. attorney firings. lol This is all propaganda; OBL knows who he can fool (liberals) and who he can’t (conservatives), and he chooses his language accordingly.
Rush was just talking about this story as I clicked on this link, at the bottom of the last hour of the show today.
