Congressmen of both parties have been driven from office over mistreatment of staff. Let’s hope this story has some legs. We have seen nothing in the Philly papers about Sestak, excpet that he did get some money from Norman Hsu. Many of us believe that Sestak was bankrolled by the Clintons specifically to get rid of Curt Weldon and shut down his investigation of Able Danger.

i hope a credible republican can rise to challenge him in ‘08. none has stepped up so far. unfortunately, the liberal poison from the philadelphia exodus may ensure sestak keeps his seat.

It’ll be interesting to see how his latest press secretary handles this or how long he/she lasts when it doesn’t come out just the way the good admiral wants it.

I guess it shows Mullen was right in canning his butt.

Sestek is also in the palm of CAIR and is a big Islamophile.

He’s a Clintonista, put in by other Clintonistas, e.g. Sandy Berger, to get rid of Weldon.

If Iraq continues to turn around, I don't see any reason why Curt Weldon can't win his seat back. It was his for many years, and he lost because of the 1-2 punch of Iraq bad news and Clinton smear machine b.s. regarding his family's legal problems. IIRC, I think it was a fairly close election.

I know people that live in his district (Lansdowne), and I still a lot of 'Support the Troops' bumper stickers on cars there.

On his first day on the job in July 2005, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Mullen fired Sestak from his job as deputy chief of naval operations for warfare requirements and programs. The reason cited for his dismissal was “poor command climate,” the service said at the time.

As a retired Navy O I can say that Sestak had a service-wide reputation as a screaming tyrant and a nightmare boss. Rumors of physical abuse of subordinates abound. Mullen did what he had to do. Sestak is a perfect Democrat.

Sestak, Soltz, Hackett, all competing for Mister Nice Guy...

Only Soltz and Hackett will never see the inside of the US Capitol unless it's with a tour group.

“...a screaming tyrant and a nightmare boss.”

No wonder he can’t keep anyone on his staff. It’s not like, “Hey, Petty Officer. You’re gonna work till I say you can leave the building.”

Too bad Sestak wasn’t CO of Constitution and where they coulda canned his sorry butt.
