This article just shows why the MSM likes Ron “the kook” Paul in the race.

He is a nutjob but he is espousing the identical comments the MSM wants in order to show the fiction of people against the war.

With fist raised, screaming, “Get out of Iraq now!”, Ron Paul should do very well in Washington State.........

“Paul would seek to divest the federal government of its vast landholdings in the West. “I would always move in the direction of moving those lands to the states, except in special circumstances such as national parks.””

Good idea, for instance the feds own 90% of Nevada, all desert sitting there rotting. But I have to ask, why keep the parks ‘public’?

Perhaps Ron Paul would be willing to change places with them to get them home...that might be a deal worth considering.

Although described as a libertarian, the physician-politician is a throwback on stands that used to define "conservative" in America -- defense of individual liberties, a minimalist federal government and freedom from foreign entanglements.

Oh, puhleeze...what thesaurus does this writer use that doesn't contain the word "isolationist"? He's avoiding that word for a reason.

TAKE ME OFF THESE DAMN RON PAUL LISTS!

I worked on some of Ron Paul's early campaigns. I'd never vote for him for president and I'd rather see someone like Chris Peden in his congressional seat.

This is post #463 if no one has beat me to it. There’s something of buzz going on here with Ron Paul. Maybe it’s like you hate the bad guy wrestler so much you watch pay to watch him perform. I’m surprised he hasn’t flamed out yet. Like him or not, he’s not being ignored and he’s getting heard. Good!

Right now, nobody threatens our national security."

I would say he's dumber than a bag of hammers, but that would insult hammers.

"I don't support abortion, but I don't want to pass any federal law to regulate it," he added. I don't see how a true social conservative could make a statement such as this. And I don't know how other conservatives could rally behind him unless they value an isolationist foreign policy or fiscal conservatism over human life. Finally, if Paul opposes the Patriot Act as well as the Iraq war, how does he propose to protect Americans from the threat of jihad? The more I read about this guy, the less I like him.

So Ron Paul thinks going into Iraq was a mistake which means that all those American soldiers who gave their lives gave their lives for NOTHING? Never!
