I wouldn't mind seeing Pete Pace in there, either. Now there's a New Yorker I wouldn't mind seeing on the ticket.

Jack Welch obviously isn't going to happen because of his age, but I do think a businessman is the obvious choice for Treasury. An economist like Thomas Sowell or Walter E. Williams could be another idea.

You know, just to stick it in and break it off, Bush ought to announce tomorrow that he is making a recess appointment of Ted Olson to be A.G.

Olson is a brilliant man and the Democrats greatly fear him. His knowledge of the law and the logical way he builds a case is awesome ! God bless him and GW

The Dems would consider anyone to the right of Lenin as unacceptable.

Yes, no confirmation hearings until Bush’s firing, without cause, of all 93 fed attorneys!

Solution, Bush should nominate someone from Waste Management. A background in dealing with garbage should help smooth the adjustment to DC.

What is his objection to Olson?”

First, Olson is a decent, honorable and honest conservative.
Second, He’s Bush’s selection. Third, he’s competent.

Three strikes against him.

Seriously, the GOP aide is right - “They could nominate Pat Leahy and Democrats would fight it,” The better the selection Bush makes, the more they will fight.

Remember when Reagan’s best possible USSC nominee, Robert Bork, went to the Senate?

These crazy Democrats are going to have a fight over it because they have hyper-partisan full-blown BDS.

Let them try. I want to see a party line 49-49 vote then watch Nelson flip and we win by one vote.

Ted Olson’s wife died in the 9/11 crash at the Pentagon. Oh,I’m sorry, according to the “majority” of democrats it was a “rocket” not a plane that crashed. And Bush has had Barbara Olson held in some secret location since then.

“Remember when Reagan’s best possible USSC nominee, Robert Bork, went to the Senate?”

Bork was a horrible jackboot nominee who didn’t think the 2nd amendment meant individual right to bear arms.

I don’t trust anyone with authority who doesn’t trust me with guns.

In order to add insult to injury after the recess appointment, fire all the FOB attorneys.

What should the reason be:

Rovian Conspiracy
Hillary

Or should they just appoint Karl. That should allow maximum spin for heads.

Reid: We’ll defeat Olson
Now if only Harry Reid and his Democrats had the same commitment against America's enemies.

Surely Nevada has enough sensible people to dump this SOB.

You mean the sensible people who didn't vote because they wanted to "send a message"?

How well did THAT plan turn out?
