grounds that he’s “too partisan”

To the Democrats, "too partisan" simply means "not a democrat."

The White House “doesn’t understand these people up here,” Hatch said.

No Kiddin

Bush learned nothing from the way his father was treated--nothing from the mess in FLA in 2000--nothing from getting screwed by Kennedy and Daschle ---he is a human punching bag

What is his objection to Olson?

The Arkansas Project and his role in the 2000 election are two things that come to mind.

I really hope Bush nominates him just to make them howl.

I hope Bush nominates Olsen. It would be fun watching the dems go over the cliff.

Reid is an idiot.

There will be a recess appointment if he blocks the appointment.

W will attempt to induce a stroke.

This is a very strange thing for Schumer to say. So then, there are times when you want someone with a political background, and other times when you want someone who puts the rule of law first? Shouldn’t any AG put the rule of law first? And isn’t it a given that any president will appoint a political ally to the job?

Will Schumer hold Hillary’s AG nominee to the same standard, if he gets to confirm said nominee?

Will any of these Dems. call Hillary’s cabinet appointments too partisan? I’m sure Hillary will appoint some very liberal people if she’s elected.

But regardless of the nominee, Leahy has vowed not to hold a confirmation hearing until the White House ceases withholding information subpoenaed by Democrats on U.S. attorneys and warrantless surveillance.

Hey dumbass:

1) No laws were broken in regards to firing the attorneys.

2) A Democrat-majority Congress gave the President “permission” a few weeks ago to go ahead with warrantless surveillance.

Dirty Harry Reid. The revolution he thought he wanted will be the revolution that gets rid of him. Surely Nevada has enough sensible people to dump this SOB.

If I were Ted Olson I’d beg W to nominate me just so I got the chance to rip these guys new ones on public TV.

“The White House “doesn’t understand these people up here,” Hatch said.”

I understand them all too well. They look out for themselves first, and the country second. If they can’t stomach a decent man and excellent attorney like Ted Olson, then they should be replaced.

Reid should worry about the sorry spectacle the Congress made of itself yesterday.

Only very interested people like Freepers will ever know this. On the radio news last night, CBS played only one voice, Hillary Clinton, and quoted two Senators, Hagel and Lugar. No quote of either witness. Most people do not even hear this, but no chance they will hear how disgusting and disrespectful was the behavior of most of the Senators.

“Play the 9-11 card. Hell, the dems would.”

The Dems can turn some poor guy’s funeral into a political rally.

Bush should tell them it’s Olson or a Bork recess appointment.

“Senate Republicans on Wednesday fired a warning shot at Democrats on the White House’s still-unnamed attorney general pick as Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) declared that front-runner Ted Olson would not be confirmed.”

I know what the author wanted to say, but am I the only one that finds this sentence uncomprehensible?

He seems to be a pretty dumb fellow from where I sit.

I’d like to think that folks from Nevada are more rational than the Commies in Massachusetts.

Since we ain’t getting it done here in Boston, would you folks in the West please take care of business and vote your Chump out of office?

Please?
