The girl and her younger brother could have been at a Church function. Why are you assuming something negative?
I am not implying in ANY way that the new driver is a bad person, has problems or any such thing.
I am simply stating that I would not allow my new teen driver teen to be driving out that late at night (after dark) on their first day of solo (without a parent with them) driving. For the record I would also not allow them to drive on mountain roads, long distances, the LA Freeway or several other options. I believe in allow them the opportunity to "test their wings" slowly.
Flame away.
Sorry, I don’t understand your post. Did you mean to post to someone else?
This is not a flame. My state requires the student driver to have at least 10 hours of night driving. He had that and more. I also do not allow my son to drive on the interstate. He is allowed to access the interstate on Saturday and Sunday mornings, when traffic is light, but only with me in the car.
But controlling your children's driving and curfew hours is not what this post is about. It's about two criminals who tried to scare the crap out of people. Nothing I could do, or my son, could have prevented that. That is the issue.
I did a bad thing and I apologize.
I get pretty testy when someone calls me a bad mom.
I don't get along well at all with the IRS, either. :)
Hold them by their heels over the edge of the Grand Canyon. Keep telling them the holder is getting very tired. Then pass them to another holder. Do this 8 hours a day for a month.
LOL. No blood no foul. :-)
Before any of our kids had gone solo, they had had many hours in the car with me or SirKit. When they went out on their own, we were pretty certain they would be safe drivers. Of course we warned them to be on the lookout for all the other goobers out on the road! ;o)
What is their major malfunction? What a bunch of scumbags. They need a nice a** whooping.
I hope they serve time, even if it is 6 months. Might give them the wake-up call they need to make some right choices after that. Some people might’ve been hurt rushing to the hospital or someone could’ve had a heart attack. This is NOT funny!
