While right-thinking people across the fruited plain cast their anger at MoveOn for its disgraceful ad placed in Monday's New York Times, "Countdown" host Keith Olbermann should be sharing the dishonor.
As adroitly identified at Olbermann Watch Wednesday: "Long before the moveon [sic] ‘Betray Us' advertisement, back on August 16th, the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann began his ‘newscast' in the usual fashion, bellowing the opening spiel."
Taken directly from MSNBC.com's transcript that evening (emphasis added):
Which of these stories will you be talking about tomorrow? The Petraeus report, less Petraeus, more betrayaeus (ph). The definitive assessment of the surge will not only not be written by General Petraeus, it will not be presented by General Petraeus. Secretaries Gates and Rice will be the messengers. The White House insists General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker will be there to testify.
Furthermore, as he began his report, the picture to the above-right was displayed.

It sounds like something the top-tapping Olbermann would come up with.
Let Olberman put on an Army uniform and go face to face with the General and say that. I would bet he’s a coward.
To Keith Olbermann, it makes no difference whether he sticks a knife in the back of a general or a private. All in the name of his own warped limousine liberal sense of arrogance and self certainty.

Actually, there’s a koskiddie who would disagree (unless the koskid was actually Olbie). Someone on a rightie blog found a June post at dKos where it was posted. I was looking for it in my notes a few minutes ago and couldn’t find it.
Other than videos put up at Hot Air to poke fun at the man, I’ve never watched him.

Back when the last presidential election was going on..one of the things I did to amuse myself was to email Keithy poo. He actually would answer back within minutes...and we would have a back and forth emailing war. It ended with me telling him that he needed to spend his time doing actual research instead of engaging in rhetoric he had no clue about in emails...then I dismissed him because he was boring me. He wrote back and told me nobody dismisses him...my response was ..wellll I just did
FYI....Aug. 16 isn’t the first time he used it. He used it many times after that as well.

To call Olberman an arrogant ass is an insult to all the arrogant asses out there. And now I can’t even watch the football game Sunday night without him appearing. Aaaaccckkk!

Olbermoan is the result of a botched partial birth abortion. The doctors at the butchershop sucked out his brain but didn’t dispose of his worthless body. He has no brain.
NBC and their off shoot have gone far enough. I know it will be hard to do but I’m finding a list of GE products that I can boycott. They have become anti-American.
