The thing about Thompson is that he's an unknown quality at this point. Usually when someone starts talking he solidifoes some support but loses points on the whole as those mysterious positions are made clear.

But in his case I believe people will like him more once they hear him talk about the issues. He has an intelligence and a reasonable way of talking, a clarity, many other candidates are lacking.
