I'm glad to see some common sense finally rear its head in one of these threads.
See you at the polls. =]
“Those aren’t conservatives for the most part.”
Funny, because that’s what I think of the baby killing, big government, tax and spend nannies that people like you have let in to wreck our “big tent”. I’m not worried about some girl with blue hair and a tie-dye.
There are two categories of ‘Vietnam Veteran’ recognized by the Federal Government.
First, the ‘Vietnam Veteran’. To qualify you actually had to serve in Vietnam. Paul would not qualify.
Second, the ‘Vietnam Era Veteran’. To qualify you only had to be on active duty during Vietnam. Paul qualifies.
This distinction is lost on most people and I’ve seen numerous instances of media confusion on this point as well. Unless Paul has specifically called himself a ‘Vietnam Veteran’, I wouldn’t make a big deal out of this one.
In fact, they aren't even really there! It's just one spammer trying to make Dr. Paul's support look bigger than it really is.
Funny, because thats what I think of the baby killing
What baby-killing?
“big government”
No argument on that one
“tax and spend nannies”
I don’t know about you but my taxes have DECREASED over the last 7 years. I do acknowledge that spending has gotten out of control.
“that people like you have let in to wreck our big tent.”
I’ve never been a fan of the “big tent” because it allows in too many people that do not adhere to core conservative principles. This does not take away from the fact that much of “Dr” Pauls’ support is coming from leftists and anarchists, twoofers and folks that just want to get high and not be hassled by “the man.”
“Im not worried about some girl with blue hair and a tie-dye.”
Partner that is your guys’ BASE. Be afraid, be very afraid. I said when he decided to run that he had some great ideas but that his opponents were going to wrap his supporters into a big club and beat his campaign to death with them.
He will not break 5% in any state primary, including Texas and THAT’S being generous.
That's an opinion at this point and you're entitled to it. In time (like after the primaries) we'll know the facts. Your opinion may be right. . . or maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see.
The same polls that show Rudy's ahead?
These polls are garbage.
Well, your “front runner”, Rudy, is pro-abortion. The party is full of pro-aborts or “pro-lifers” who have done little to further our cause. I seriously doubt that you know much about Dr. Paul’s base, and if you’re judging it from a few pictures, well that’s you’re problem. The majority of people that I work with are small government, old-school Reagan Republicans. Family types. Small business owners. Home schoolers. Etc. I only know one guy who said he used to be a Democrat, and that’s because he didn’t know any better. He said based on the tenants of conservatism that he’d learned about when he bothered to look into it, he was a Republican all along.
There have been 3 straw polls here in NH, Ron Paul has won each of them with over 60% of the vote tallies. Considering these are aimed at primary voting Republicans, I’d say the polls aren’t accurate. But I’ll hold out until the NH primary.
Here is another very poor attempt at bashing Ron Paul that has backfired.
Apparently ATC believes Ron Paul is an "old establishment hack" and not some "nutter" akin to al-Quaida operatives, or some "liberal surrender monkey", like some others.
Welcome to the fold, ATC.
Youre one of them burrito profiteers, aint ya?
your front runner, Rudy
KMA ya little biotch. I am NO Trudy fan.
“In time (like after the primaries) we’ll know the facts.”
I think we’ll know during.
So,..would that be because Duncan Hunter is essentially a one-issue candidate, and therefore can spend more time talking about his one issue?
I say why not support a candidate that has all the issues covered? (Dr. Ron Paul)
That Ron Paul can’t tell us who he voted for in 2000 for President, or in 2004 is telling.
‘conservatives’ have no problem telling the difference between Al Gore and George Bush, or John Kerry and George Bush.
So who did Ron Paul vote for in those elections?
Apparently, its a tip top secret, cause Obi Ron doesn’t have the balls to tell us.
‘Real Conservatives’ have no problem at all talking about who they voted for President in either election cycle. Because it was a ‘no brainer’ given the opposition.
but nope, Ron Paul can’t let us in on his votes in those two election cycles....what a brave man he is, eh?
OK, replace “your” with “the”. Same difference.
“KMA ya little biotch.”
This is supposed to pass as intelligent discourse?
Good point...
Scary one too...
Why, I don’t....
