Ya know, Social Security started out benefiting the few. Now look what a monster it's become. This bill is just another way for the demoncRATS to line their pockets with votes. Dream Act is wrong. We shouldn't let people like Tricky Dicky Durbin win. Deport these criminals. Let them come into this country the correct way. I'm sure she still has relatives she can live with in Mexico. Say No to Durbin and the RATS and RINOS that support this Dream Act.

Even if she graduates from college, Duarte's degree will be worthless unless she can become a legal resident. Besides social work, she is thinking about entering the field of criminal justice and becoming an FBI agent. You can't make this stuff up.

“..illegal immigrants who could become legal residents and eventually citizens under a bill pending in Congress.”
Didn’t the American people make it clear not too long ago that they were against giving illegal aliens resident status?

Make sure you call or e-mail your senators, too, everyone.

What country is more in need of such members of civic society than Mexico?

The state knows she’s illegal. The college knows she’s illegal. The Feds know she’s illegal. Why the hell isn’t she being deported?

Ya know, Social Security started out benefiting the few. No it did not!
It started out benefiting every individual who contributed to it.
When it was modified to become another branch of welfare, it began its slow (and deserved) death.

Even if she graduates from college, Duarte's degree will be worthless unless she can become a legal resident. Do you mean there are no jobs for talented social workers in Mexico?
My college degree sure seemed worthless when I graduated too. Then I found a job in Japan. Are we supposed to guarantee a job in their chosen field to everyone? If so, then the New York Times needs to lay off one of their left-wing news hacks to make room for me and my journalism degree. Come to think of it, I like the weather in Los Angeles better.

"After I graduate, I won't be able to get a job if I don't have legal status," said Duarte, who barely speaks Spanish. "It would be unfair because I've gone to school all these years and I've been trying to do something with my life."It would be unfair to give her citizenship because she and her parents stole our services for all these years. I don't want as a citizen somebody who thinks that living off the proceeds of theft entitles her to more rather than less.

Boo-effing-hoo. She’s here illegally, therefore a criminal. Period. Send her back where she came from and if she wants to come here, she can go to the end of the line and wait her turn like everyone else that immigrates to the USA legally and lawfully.
