Howie Carr Show live thread. More below about the mystery of exactly where Howie will be come Thursday.
Oh right—you might say, will it play in Peoria? :)
I don’t think you could pick up (over the air) any of the
stations that carry Howie :) Though a few years ago,
due to weird atmospheric conditions, the station at 96.9
in Boston WAS coming in up in Wisconsin. At the time
they were WBCS, “Boston’s Country Station” and a friend,
who picked up the signal while traveling in Wisconsin (and
heard the ads for Boston businesses) jokingly referred to
them as “Wisconsin’s Best Country Station”.
Break out the OVER-THE- PHONE TAZER !
“Can I get me a taser here?” I had a bellylaugh over that one.
Kerry READ the moooooonbat book about voter fraud! Naturally.
“Howie! I love the new taser. You gotta hang on to that!”
Hey Howie and Sandy—that will sound SOOOO good in _stereo_,
if you get my drift :)
“The Democrats better wake up because this is how they treat their base”
“Yeah, you know, DailyKOs...”
now years ago, Occasionly at night I could drag in WBZ.
TROUBLEMAKER hehehehehehehe
Yup! technically Howie is on some FM stations now and
I wonder if it’s full stereo—at least there’s no static
and it probably sounded “fuller”
WXTK FM 95.1 Cape Cod
WVOM FM 103.9 Bangor (area) ME
WNTK FM 99.7 New London, NH
though I wonder if WNTK is in mono. I can think of at least
one talk station on FM that broadcasts in mono as far as I
know, WNIR “The Talk Of Akron” (Ohio).
Don’t tase me, bro!
I'm a pool keeper's son, I don't want to hurt no one
Yes I crossed my old man back in Oregon, don't take me alive
Got a case of dynamite,I could hold out here all night
I crossed my old man back in Oregon, don't take me alive!
steely Dan
Talking about free college tuition for illegals. AARGH!!
The FM Corporate Crap talk station here is mono.
When I met Howie at the Victorian Fair in Melrose on Sunday, he was wearing a WTKK baseball cap.
What’s that, Zone 96.7? Clear Channel (also AM 960)
yes, have been told that he also wore that cap at the
Ipswich chowderfest
Usually, when one goes, so does the other.
They're overly automated, and it can be a pain.
I had no idea WTKK was stereo. I heard Art Bell respond to a caller about stereo, and he said "doesn't matter, C2CAM is mono at the source..."
I take it WTKK was originally a music station? Why does WJIB stick in my mind?
