2 Howell boys accused of forcing classmate to have sex on bus

Lansing State Journal

Special to the State Journal

HOWELL - Two Howell elementary school boys - ages 9 and 11 - have been charged as juveniles with criminal sexual conduct for allegedly making a 7-year-old boy perform oral sex while on a school bus in May.

The father of the 11-year-old boy, however, said his son merely witnessed the attacks and was himself a victim of a similar attempted sexual assault by the 9-year-old. He questioned the safety of students on Howell buses

"We take it for granted our children are safe," the 38-year-old father said. "We're worried about predators coming up to the bus stop, not being on the bus. How can you think our children are safe? The school should be accountable for what happens on the bus."

Although the events reportedly happened at the end of the school year, Superintendent Chuck Breiner said he just learned of the alleged sexual assaults on Monday when the 11-year-old boy's father called him to ask why his son was questioned by the school principal and a police officer without his knowledge.

Police reports indicate that the 7-year-old reported that on several occasions he was forced to perform a sex act on the 9-year-old boy. The incidents are alleged to have taken place toward the end of the after-school bus route when there were few students on the bus.

School buses have cameras but a video tape is inconclusive, said Breiner.

Juvenile court records indicate the 9- and 11-year-old boys are each charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

If convicted as charged, both boys also would have to register as sex offenders for life.

I wish my parents had, and that was thirty years ago. The inmates were running the asylum then.

Yep, I saw some wild stuff on the school bus....but that was high school. I was in walking distance to elementary school so we had to walk, no bus.

So, you are saying a person doesn’t know if they are hetero or homo until puberty?? Tell, us, Dr. Spock, all about that definition.

So you are saying that Homosexuality is genetic, or a natural trait?

Many on this Board would argue that it is perverted lifestyle "choice"... (I would not be one of them but many you will find here)

When you were that age the schools weren’t pushing sexuality and homosexuality on first graders.

Just the fact that we have damned Viagra and Levitra commercials on boils my blood. TV is so sexualized - everything, including ads - and few don’t want to give it up. I like some things, but mostly TV offends me with all the sexuality.

And people wonder why there is such a porno problem, or rape problem, and ever-increasing perversion in CHILDREN. We’re obsessed with sex, that’s why, and it shows in PUB(L)IC.

IMO you’re asking the right questions, and coming to the right conclusions.

I am particularly impressed to see you touch on father and mother roles, and how they are portrayed.

A lot of people think the liberal bias ends at the MSM, news and adult programing line. It doesn’t. There’s a massive effort to indoctrinate children through popular culture programming. We’re not just talking about ecology and animal matter here either. It’s how children are being indoctrinated to relate to each other and future families as they enter adulthood.

We are exposing our kids to too much information at too early an age.

"Exposing" is too passive a word. The media are "exposing" it. The schools are shoveling into their brains.

They’ve no doubt been abused if they are doing things like this.

An assumption that doesn't excuse their actions one iota.

I take them to school every day.

To public school? You have only skirted a tiny part of the problem. Public school is prima facie child abuse.

When things like this make the news, I wonder, is there a reason to send to public schools?

No, it definitely doesn’t. But when kids that young act out like that, then something criminal is going on.

We don’t have private schools here. No need for them.

The only bad things I experienced (and I was on buses in elementary as well as to HS) was just plain “bullying”. There were always kids picking on others - including me (not in HS, though; HS was a peach for me) - and sometimes getting a bit physical (usually not until off the bus, though).

I don’t ever recall nasty sex stuff, I have to admit.

I take it that there was an adult bus driver. So what was he/she doing while this was going on? Maybe somebody should have notified police that this was going on.

I didn't even know what this was until at least middle teens.

now the kids - by mandate - will start their indoctrination in Kindergarten =

The public schools are too far gone to be fixed. The only choice is to keep your kids out of them.

The only 'fix' for the gov't schools even remotely possible is to break their financial backs by taking enough kids out -

HOme School, Private schools, Church schools - on line schools - just do it. You do not need permission from ANYONE to take your children out of public school. The SCOTUS, in a 1925 decision - The Pierce Doctrine = so states:

"The fundamental theory of liberty upon which all governments in this Union repose excludes any general power of the state to standardize its children by forcing them to accept instruction from public teachers only. The child is not the mere creature of the state; those who nurture him and direct his destiny have the right, coupled with the high duty, to recognize and prepare him for additional obligations."

It's the parents "high duty"

Not necessarily. As many here including me state, look at the disgusting media on TV that they can’t help see and hear. And the schools.

Young children have been “playing” with violence and sex stuff and drinking long before pedophilia became epidemic. It’s just they’re getting much more encouragement now in the disgusting “culture” which they cannot help see.
