Fred Thompson hit a homerun in his speech to the NRA! In response to a question after his remarks, Fred said he believed the 2nd Amendment meant the same thing in New York City as it does in Tennessee. He further added that it is more than a coincidence that the places with the highest crime rates often have the most restrictions on gun rights.
He also said during his speech, about his wife, Jeri, "I don't know, but i think Jeri would make a much better First Lady than Bill Clinton!" The NRA crowd loved it!
Fred's position on the 2nd Amendment is in obvious contrast to Rudy Giuliani, who will speak to the NRA shortly. It will be interesting to see how Giuliani tries to defend his past positions on gun control and his statements on the NRA, as evidenced in these clips.........

LOL. That was his one, and only, post.
I thought Giuliani was mechanistic and perfunctory, and doesn't share the concerns that most conservatives have for the 2nd Amendment.

“Lori then decapitates him, and both Freddy and Erowel fall into the lake, disappearing beneath the surface. The final scene ends with Freddy walking out of Crystal Lake holding Erowel’s decapitated head, followed by Freddy’s laughter.”
Is that how it really happened?
Hey . . . . erowel, where’d you go?
That’s a picture of a politician that actually knows how to shoot.

Pin prick, little blood, parchment, name, guy with horns. You do the math.

Fred can deliver a joke. Ok then.
Is that a Browning Citori?

Sorry, our right is not based on any degree of safety. It is a right period. A person has the right to protect themself anywhere, not just in their home. They also have the right to use them for hunting, competition, etc.
From what I see in looking at their website, they have three positive pieces on declared candidates: one each for Governor Mike Huckabee, Congressman Duncan Hunter, and Congressman Ron Paul.
The editorial on Congressman Duncan Hunter is at http://gunowners.org/pres08/hunter.htm; here is an excerpt:
Americans who believe the Second Amendment is crucial to freedom, especially hunters, aren't easily fooled by the campaign ads of candidates who take off their suit coat and tie, pull on a newly purchased hunting coat, stand out in a local field and hold a rifle or shotgun for the news cameras. Posing for these "pro-gun" commercials doesn't make a candidate a "pro-gunner." It takes a deep understanding of the Constitution and years of voting and speaking out to protect our rights. And it doesn't hurt to really be a hunter, shooter, or collector of guns. Congressman Duncan Hunter is all of these things and would serve our nation well as President.
The editorial on Congressman Ron Paul from Gunowners can be found at http://gunowners.org/pres08/paul.htm.
The candidate summary on Governor Huckabee can be found at http://gunowners.org/pres08/huckabee.htm.

God himself might not’ve been able to pull off this miracle. My guesses:
(1) he’s gay, and he’s paying her,
(2) she needed to get married to stay in the country,
(3) he can’t be that good in the sack, so maybe she’s a lesbian anyway,
(4) maybe she’s hoping he’ll pull a Paul Wellstone, and she’ll get his pension.

Any link to video of his speech?
Thanks

Ha, ha...Fred can deliver a joke. Too bad he stole the joke from Romney, who used it last week.
AMES, Iowa (CNN) Commenting Saturday on a new Time Magazine cover story titled "The Real Running Mates" which focuses on the current crop of presidential candidates' spouses Republican candidate Mitt Romney said his wife would make a "prettier first lady" than former president Bill Clinton.
"It has a picture of five of the possible first ladies," the former Massachusetts governor said. "In the upper left hand corner it has my wife, and then next to it, it has Bill Clinton. And she is a much prettier first lady than Bill Clinton, I can tell you that!"
The cover story features a photograph of a commemorative White House china plate. On it are the faces of five potential 'first spouses' Bill Clinton, Ann Romney, Elizabeth Edwards, Judith Nathan and Michelle Obama.
Romney made the comments at his tent at the University of Iowa/Iowa State football game. When asked which team he would be supporting, Romney chose to stay neutral, but after a few more people asked the same question, he saw an opportunity to take another subtle jab at the Clinton family, this time toward Hillary.
"I know there's only one thing that would bring both of these Teams together, and that's to make sure that Hillary Clinton is not the next president of the United States," he said.
CNN Iowa Producer Chris Welch
Actually, papasmurf was talking about George Will (as well as others who are Rudy sychophants) whose every editorial about Fred is a hit piece full of non-issue nonsense.
She's pretty hot. So is Obama's chick.
