I had rickets when I was a baby right here in the good old USA. Now I’m 52 years old and my bone density scan says I have a moderate risk of fracture to my left hip. Other places scanned OK though. My doctor put me on 2000mg of calcium a day with vitamin D and K. I already exercise a lot and do weight training at the gym. I am not a couch potato. I don’t smoke or drink and never have but my bones are incredibly small. I wear a child’s watch band and have a size 4 ring finger. :-)
