Former Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu tried to kill himself "by taking pills ... a lot of them," as he fled by train from sentencing on a theft charge from the 1990s, his attorney said today.
"I think the pressure was enormous," attorney James Brosnahan said after a disheveled and shackled Hsu appeared briefly in a Redwood City courtroom following his extradition back to California from Colorado.
Hsu is facing up to a three years in prison after pleading no contest in 1992 to one count of grand theft for a $1 million Ponzi scheme, in which early investors are repaid with money from subsequent investors, who typically lose their funds when the scheme collapses. He is being held without bail.
His attorney now says Hsu will seek to withdraw that plea and have the charge dismissed or the case brought to trial. Brosnahan also asked that the $2 million bail that Hsu forfeited when he skipped a Sept. 5 court date in Redwood City and boarded Amtrak's eastbound California Zephyr be returned to him.
Hsu was taken off the train in Grand Junction, Colo., and arrested after fellow passengers reported that he was behaving erratically. He was hospitalized for several days with an ailment that has never been fully explained.
Brosnahan said today in court that while on the train, Hsu had taken large quantities of what were probably sleeping pills in a suicide attempt.

I will wait for for the real story...what ever it is.
Just as a cross reference, I thought I would link both sites.........
if I dis-appear remember me!!!
Who did he eat with on the train?
“I think the pressure was enormous,”
I call BS on this story.
(JMHO of course)
QUICK! In which park do you think he will be found dead?
Vince Foster had no comment.
(No, I don’t actually think Vince Foster was murdered. But I enjoy dark humor sometimes ...)
The clintoons work close to home, so..............
I say something goes horribly wrong in Central Park, NYC.
It was either going to be pills or a heavy lamp to the side of the head.
So Hsu pleads no contest and then goes into hiding for 15 years, and now wants to change that plea to not guilty and go to trial?

People!! Look deeper!!!
Someone research this lawyer FAST.
This is not about Arkanicide. This is about labeling the guy crazy before his story comes out. He may be talked into an insanity defense so the prosecution information that emerges gets labeled the “ramblings of a crazy man.”
Find out this lawyer’s background!
Remember, the cops in Grand Junction did not put Hsu in a suicide-watch cell for a reason.
What? Tynol PM?
Tylenol
My money says it was arkancide. Hillary is tying up some loose ends. They missed this time but they will get him the next go around.
I would not write an insurance policy on him.
Alamo Girl on this forum has or had a list that was up to date.
Like we're likely to hear it in our lifetimes! Hah!
Maybe I'm at a tin-foil hat stage of life, but honestly, the first thought reading the gist of this "Arkancide" angle:
*slap on the forehead* Of course!
It would explain footage of Hsu that consistenly show what looks to me like an exceptionally dim dude. Seriously. The guy looks like he's about as cognizant as a chimp.
I think it is very, very likely that the Clintons are genuine thugs in the most Hollywood sense of the word; ironically, Hollywood is oblivious for reasons of its own.
“Are we now supposed to feel pity for the greedy little whore?”
No, I guess she’s “off the hook” because she offered to return the known dirty money.
The Arkancide angle is supported by Hsu’s odd behavior of acting terrified and the fact that he felt that apologizing to the people who received money from him (Hillary) was more important than any thing else he might do or say.
Logically he would want to apologize to the people he duped in the “ponzi” scheme but he found a higher logic. It isn’t safe being a political liability to a Clinton.
