I know that, but Gov. Palin has nothing to prove. I’m talking about suspicious anti-military/anti-war pols that have done so. Gore, Sr. was a chickenhawk on Vietnam and he pushed Jr. into service to make himself look more “pro-military” (again, trying to have it both ways). It finally blew up in his face.

Some things that bother me about Gore is that he went in on a two year enlistment, that meant combat arms, not Journalist.

The army did not send you to Vietnam 7 months before your discharge, and in Gore’s case 5 months before your early out.

Although early outs were common then, even “Project Transition” for those that remember, which was a program where you worked in a job for six weeks before your discharge started.
