The war isn't even over and we're seeing politicians trying to
push thru more Iraqis at a FASTER pace, which increases the danger
of letting in terrorists.

It's a Win-Win situation for Democrats.
1. Importing future votes.
2. Reducing the chance for another "Last Helicopter Leaving Embassy Roof"
photo-op if Iraq should fall to the terrorists.
(They know that enough Americans would connect that outcome to
the Democrats cutting off support and forcing the USA out of Iraq.)

But the greater part of my ire is directed towards Dubya.
He should know better.
Rewarding those that won't STAND AND FIGHT to liberate and pacify
their own country when the world's superpower is there to help
them with a lot of the heavy lifting.
We're importing the REAL cut-and-run demographic.
That eventually will be using votes and influence to make sure
the USA bends over for any Muslim/Islamic country.

“Bush will boost flow of Iraqi refugees”

If Allah is all-compassionate....
Why aren’t these people being taken in by some Muslim country?

(and yeah, I know some of them might not be Muslim)

Absolutely. While the world accuses the US of being imperialists, these very people who are imported due to our generosity are the ones who wish to take over our country.

“Why aren’t these people being taken in by some Muslim country?”

About 2 million of them have been, iirc. Mainly Jordan and Syria.

Unless those brought in are endangered former interpreters or persecuted religious minoritys, whats the point in this while we are trying to secure their country for them?

About 2 million of them have been, iirc. Mainly Jordan and Syria.

Good for them. And thanks for the information.
I generally see Jordan as a Muslim country with leadership
trying to do the right thing.

I fear the leadership of Syria simply looks at them as a new
pool of Hezbollah fighters to send to Lebanon. Or wherever Syria
wants "to stir the pot".

Other than that, I suspect (especially) Syria doesn't mind serving
as a trans-shipment point for spiriting in more "agents of influence" into
the USA.
With the USA paying the bill.

And I do still have misgivings about making legal residents
(and eventually US Citizens) out of the "cut-and-run" demographic of
the Iraqi populace.

But then, I'm a radical.
The sort that says "Let's show the folks in Darfur the USA really cares.
Air-drop tons of MREs (rations), water bottles, M-16s and plenty of
ammo. And maybe a hundred Green Berets to teach the folks from
Darfur to not take any crap off the Arab Muslims."

I’m not sure the point of your posts to me. You can reread what I posted and respond to that (do you not hope they are persecuted Christians?) or the discussion is over as far as I’m concerned.
