Death Penalty Sought in Officer Slaying (Phoenix, Az.)

PHOENIX -- County Attorney Andrew Thomas said he intends to seek the death penalty against the man accused of killing Phoenix Police Officer George Cortez.

Edward Rose, 20, was arrested following the shooting death of Cortez at a Phoenix check cashing store on July 27.

Cortez had one of Rose's wrists cuffed when Rose allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Cortez in the chest.

Rose and his companion, 19-year-old Norma Lopez, fled the scene

Russell Pearce (State lawmaker) says: "We have the right to ask and we have the right to act. These sanctuary policies are illegal and immoral and they ought to be removed to let police officers do their job."

I say: Phoenix is a sanctary city therefore we have a dead police officer.

Why do you think that Edward Rose is an illegal immigrant? The name is not hispanic. Is there other information that shows that he was an illegal immigrant?

Not that any of this changes whether or not he should receive the death penalty.

That’s actually two Phoenix Officers murdered by illegals in the past month or so.

Please note everybody, this not the most recent slaying of a Phoenix cop by a criminal illegal alien, we had a more recent one just this week, The fifth cop slaying by illegals in th last seven to die.

But Janet Napolitano (hillary clinton wannabee) doesn’t think illegal immigration is a any concern of hers, other than to obstruct,veto and block any legislation to deal with them.

You are exactly right! There have been 7 recent Phoenix police officer deaths and 5 of them were at the hands of illegal aliens.

By the way, it was also reported in the local Phoenix news that 1 in 7 Arizona males is an illegal alien. That’s 15% of the male population. Assuming an equal percentage of illegal females and a higher birthrate on average, I think we can safely say we’re really looking at closer to 20% of the population being illegal in Arizona.

The politicians are looking the other way the best they can. Maybe when it hits 33% they’ll get serious once our public services can no longer sustain the demands being placed on them.
