BUSH DECLARES: HILLARY WILL WIN NOMINATION; WHITE HOUSE CALLS OBAMA 'LAZY'
Drudge Report ^ | September 23, 2007 | Matt Drudge

Posted on 09/23/2007 3:26:48 PM PDT by West Coast Conservative

**DRUDGE EXCLUSIVE**

President Bush, for the first time, is predicting that Barack Obama will be defeated in the Democratic presidential primaries by Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“She's got a national presence and this is becoming a national primary,” Bush tells author Bill Sammon in the bombshell book, EVANGELICAL PRESIDENT, set for release Monday. “And therefore the person with the national presence, who has got the ability to raise enough money to sustain an effort in a multiplicity of sites, has got a good chance to be nominated.”

Breaking his vow not to play “pundit-in-chief” in the 2008 presidential race, Bush tells Sammon that Clinton ultimately will be defeated in the general election by the Republican nominee.

“I think our candidate can beat her, but it's going to be a tough race,” the president predicted in an Oval Office interview. “I will work to see to it that a Republican wins, and therefore don't accept the premise that a Democrat will win. I truly think the Republicans will hold the White House.”

MORE

Current and former Bush advisers sounded less certain. “It's going to be a very close election,” said Karl Rove, who until this month was the president's top political strategist. “We are at this very narrow divide in politics.”

The election “could go either way,” Vice President Cheney told Sammon, senior White House correspondent for the WASHINGTON EXAMINER, which will begin running excerpts from the book Monday. “Right now, we're sort of in the area where we're pretty evenly balanced on both sides.”

As for Obama, a senior White House official said the freshman senator from Illinois was “capable” of the intellectual rigor needed to win the presidency but instead relies too heavily on his easy charm.

“It's sort of like, 'that's all I need to get by,' which bespeaks sort of a condescending attitude towards the voters,” said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity. “And a laziness, an intellectual laziness.”

Sounds like the President wants the GOP to run against Hillary. He is trying to “kill off” Obama’s campaign.

I am not so sure about this. I don’t like the President promoting Hillary. Just on Friday he had Hillaryhips into the Oval Office, and told her that he would hand off the war to her like Truman did to Ike.. I don’t like that.

>>>Why would Bush plug Hillary?????????<<<

I’m not sure. It’s pretty common knowlege that Republicans would rather face her than any other candidate.

So considering your average Rat hates Bush, I’m not sure why he should be plugging her, either.

Oh for the love of -

[Breaking his vow not to play “pundit-in-chief” in the 2008 presidential race, Bush tells Sammon that Clinton ultimately will be defeated in the general election by the Republican nominee.

Don't believe Drudge's ALL CAPS hysteria.

This is from the inside flap of Sammon's book.

In this far-reaching book, Sammon details:

*Why Bush believes the Republicans will hold the White House in 2008

another scenario: Albore is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for Global Blowhardism (announcement is in just a few weeks)

The sudden re-emergence of the Goreacle as a left-wing icon, bigger and better than ever, makes a lot of Democrats think about how tired they are of the Clintons and of how little Hillary has done to motivate them. They think about her obvious severe failings, her record-high negatives, and suddenly the Goreacle looks better and better.

It could happen. I’d say the Goreacle has much better than a 50-50 shot at the Nobel Prize. Not saying he deserves it, I detest the man and what he has done to assault honest debate, but I think he’s just what the Nobel committee may be looking for in 2007. Once that happens (if it does), there could easily be a strong “draft Gore” movement and he could easily sweep Hillary aside.

The RNC and other operatives have SO MUCH DIRT ON HER AND WILLY, that they can’t wait for her to be the nominee and to waste the dirt now would be fruitless.

Nobody is going to "easily sweep Hillary aside." She's lied, cheated, stolen her way (and put up with a hound dog as a so-called husband) to get one general election away from her goal. "This is mine. I own it. Nobody can take it away from me. You want me to scratch your eyes out?"

Does that sound about what Hillary! is thinking right about now?

This is why President Bush wants to run against Hillary. The excerpt is focused on Rudy but I’ll bet Thompson and Romney would do almost as well.

Poll favors Giuliani over top Democrats

The Washington Post
WASHINGTON | Conventional wisdom dictates that Democratic voters are thrilled with their choices for president.

A recent survey by Democratic pollster Celinda Lake, however, showed front-runners Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois trailing former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani in the 31 Democratic-held House districts regarded as most imperiled in 2008.

The poll, conducted in August, has not been previously reported. It paints a “sobering picture” for Democrats, according to a memo by Lake and Daniel Gotoff.

Giuliani takes 49 percent to Clinton’s 39 percent. His lead over Obama is far smaller, 41 percent to 40 percent.

Bill Burton, a spokesman for Obama, said that his boss “has a vision to change politics (that) appeals to people of all political stripes in all parts of the country.”

I’ve been scanning through today’s headlines and sadly I can honestly say that America is on it’s last leg! The families of the 9/11 victims will be meeting with Iran’s Hitler, Ahmadinejad. Good God have we lost our moral compass or the will to destroy the RATS and their agenda? I guess it’s too overwhelming. It feels like a strong tidal wave hit all at once and there is nothing we can do to stop it but pray and continue to fix our eyes on Jesus! The RATS have a strong hold on this country with the pure evil intentions of destroying her. I pray enough folks with guts will take a strong stand in behalf of the RED, WHITE AND BLUE, who are willing to fight this evil rat tsunami or else ALL is LOST!

I don’t mean that she’d go down easily, not at all, but I am gthe situation in November-December of this year if the newly minted Nobel Laureate Albore is on his way to Oslo for the ceremony in December. It is possible (I don’t know how likely) that a real sea change could occur in the outlooks of millions of Democrats, and especially among a lot of party activists who need someone to “believe” in..... most of them don’t have any great affection for Hillary, they just think she’s their best chance of winning. If (gag) Nobel Laureate Al Gore is suddenly on millions of US tv screens accepting his prize for global blowhardism, he could quite quickly be regarded as the Democrat “Great White Hope” no matter how hard Hillary fights it.
