They're probably right. Keep those trains running! I love to see people relieve their suffering!
No. ‘Asian’ in British usage means primarily those originating from the four countries of the Indian sub-continent, not those from the Middle East. Incidentally, in Southall particularly there are very large numbers of Hindus, so this isn’t specifically a Muslim issue.
...and indeed Sikhs...
“Asian=Britspeak for Middle Eastern”
Incorrect. A Middle Eastern person would likely be described as Middle Eastern.
Asian designates primarily people of Indian, Pakistani or Bangledshi descent.
“Incidentally, in Southall particularly there are very large numbers of Hindus, so this isnt specifically a Muslim issue....and indeed Sikhs”
Indeed. Southall is in the Borough of Ealing which included the following religious breakdown in the last Census:
Hindu: 12.4%
Muslim: 13.3%
Sikh: 23.2%
Highest proportion of Sikhs in any area of the UK I believe.
There was an article other day on Afgan ladies that used fire as their suicide method.
Really sad stuff...
How many of these women jumped, and how many were pushed?
****
I wonder if they test these women to see if they were drugred and put there?
These families really need to learn about God and that there is a better way!
Asian=Britspeak for Middle Eastern
Oriental=Britspeak for Asian
***
A few years back like the 90’s it was not being PC if you referred to a person from Asia as Oriental they would say I am not a rug.
Funny how that same group has no complains now days!
What are yoots?
“Highest proportion of Sikhs in any area of the UK I believe.”
Lets hope we can find some more Monty Panesar’s...
