Abu Mazen: Olmert Agreed to Make Jerusalem Arab Capital
Areutz Sheva - IsraelNationalNews ^ | 9/24/7 | Hillel Fendel

Posted on 09/24/2007 12:52:54 PM PDT by SmithL

(IsraelNN.com) The chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), met with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice last week - and told her that Prime Minister Olmert agrees, finally, to turn eastern Jerusalem into the capital of a future state of Palestine. So reports the PA newspaper Al Hayat Al Jadeeda, quoting an unnamed "senior Palestinian source."

Abbas reportedly told Rice that Olmert had agreed to the demand in an Olmert-Abbas meeting a couple of days before. Another Olmert-Abbas meeting is planned for next week, the paper reports.

Arutz-7's Haggai Huberman reports on another PA media article. The Palestinian Press claims that Iran has given the order to Hamas and Islamic Jihad to reduce Kassam rocket attacks against Israel during the month of Ramadan, in order to reduce the suffering of Arab citizens in Gaza during this period. Hamas chief-in-exile Khaled Mashaal reportedly told Iran that though Hamas agrees to hold fire, Islamic Jihad does not.

Meanwhile, plans continue for U.S. President George Bush's international Middle East summit, scheduled for this November in Washington. Secretary Rice announced Sunday night that Syria and Lebanon will also be invited to take part, though they will have to commit themselves to help find a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is not happy with the summit. "Without advance preparations and without an objective," he said, "I don't see what can come of it, and I don't see any reason to convene the summit."

High-level meetings of this nature are often accompanied by Arab violence and terrorism, and some fear that such violence this time will only intensify if the summit does not produce results favorable to the Arab side.

Please, God, let it not be so. If it happens, another Holocaust is imminent.

Oh relax Nancy.

If ...IF... this is true then it is a mistake on the part of Olmert. But Olmert is the leader of Israel, so he has the authority to make this sort of deal.

It would be a very grave mistake however.

If this is true then the People of Isreal need to rise up and remove that traitor from office. He currently has the support of only about 2-5% of the people of Israel and the only reason his government hasn’t collapsed is that his coalition partners know that they will lose the election too LIKUD and the religious parties if they vote no-confidence in Olmert. Anyway, his actions are corrupt and reprehensible and if this claim is true then the poeple of Isreal need to force his resignation.

Let’s all keep in mind that the Arabs may not have invented BS’ing, but damn if they didn’t perfect it.

I believe it of Olmert and of the present Israel. The people are tired of warfare and troubles and of life. The Syrian action(s?)may be in the nature of that dead cat bounce on Wall Street.

The people of Israel left the current regime in place after the Lebanon debacle. The spark is gone. There is no more will to live.

If war is the last thing that they want, then they're going to get war whether they like it ot not. Same with the US if we withdraw from Iraq.

If this is true and the Israelis put up with this, then they really deserve what happens to them. They better than anyone else should know that the more you give the Palestinians what they want, the more they ask (think - “If you give them an inch, they take a mile”). This will NOT bring peace. Nothing short of blowing the towelheads off the planet can result in any peace for Israel.

I HAVE STRONG DOUBTS THERE WILL BE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN TEN YEARS. READ IT AND WEEP. GOD’S Word doesn’t lie.

(Zec 12:3 KJV) And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

(Zec 12:4 KJV) In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

(Zec 12:5 KJV) And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

(Zec 12:6 KJV) In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

(Zec 12:7 KJV) The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

(Zec 12:8 KJV) In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

(Zec 12:9 KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

That could be referring to something 1000 years in the future. Isreal disappeared once and it could happen agian before the big show ever comes around.

I don’t understand why the Israelis haven’t give Olmert the same reward given to Ceausescu by the Romanians. If Olmert isn’t stopped, Israel is finished.

Olmerde and Abbas agree to give half of Jerusalem to the Amalekstinians - ping!

May Olmerde and those (of any nation) that put this travesty together wither like old raisins. [What I actually wish for them I can’t say in this forum]
