I'm playing a spoof on an old friend who thinks that I'll be in Albany tomorrow. What I need are facts about the currant state of Albany that will conclusively place me there tomorrow. Color of the foliage, a good restaurant to make reservations, a nice place out of town to park a large coach, and anything about the Albany school of Law that a first time visitor would probably notice. Thanks.
There's got to be some Freeper's from Albany, right?
Tell him how impressive the Governor’s mansion is. It’s on Eagle Street.
That’s exactly the kind of info I need. Thanks very much.
it's on new scotland avenue in the same building as a new hotel. good food. lots of tv's. try the salad with grilled steak. it's great.
albany law is right across the street.
if not, head down to lark street and eat at justin's restaurant. good live jazz.
perhaps take a walk through washington park. flowers are still out. lots of dogs at the parade grounds, too.
will be a record high temp tomorrow, colors just turning, troopergate still raging, Spitzer wants to give illegals NYS licenses, The 16.09 dinner at the local restaurants is about to start, they’re fighting to raise tolls on the thruway..
Absolutely the best....this is great. thanks
It might changed in the couple of decades since I saw it, but at that time it was singularly unimpressive and the neighborhood would have made the Green Zone look like Beverly Hills.
Wonderful,I’m taking notes. I’m going to “blow” her mind.
Tell him that is an awesome dome on the capital building.
..and you’re planing to cross I787, and go down to the Corning preserve for a nice long walk along the river...and try not to trip over the gays, bums, or dog poop.
The School of Law or the Gov's mansion?
lastly, “the egg” is about the ugliest part of a building you’ve ever seen...
Tell him you climbed Mt. Albany and swam in the hot springs at the top.
the albany law buildings are grey and they are very castle-like. big stone masses. and they recently built some more modern grey buildings as well. the law school is on holland avenue right off new scotland avenue.
Sounds like you’re trying to build an alibi for an extramarital affair to me! :-0
ok....I’ll bite, what about the “egg”?
Gov’s mansion. As a lifelong NYS resident, I was appalled.
I’m curious why you feel compelled to convince your friend (if that’s what you want to call the mother of your children - LOL) that you are somewhere that you are not. jk
The leaves are not really changing colors yet.
Arbor Hill is a beautiful area. (Massive sarcasm intended).
SUNY Albany students throw some wild parties.
Theres lots of shopping on Central Avenue. B and J Sporting goods is a great gunshop.
